I know. That was a great episode. Gosh, what I'd do to get the EastEnders of old back. It's a shambles compared to then. A lot has changed in four years.

Yes, four years ago was about the time it started on its never-ending downfall.

I see Banks has changed the description of the thread. A rather clumsy title if you don't mind me saying - and it's as if you're trying to prove something by saying: The Only Soap to win an award(s) at the Nta Awards 2006

I heard Banks was beside himself with joy when Enders won the Naff Television Award for best Soap. Has anyone met Joy, she's a lovely lass! Wink

Laughing I was saying to myself when Charlie Clements recieved an award earlier.. "I'd like to thank the Banksoriginal Appreciation Society for this award"

Reminds me rather of a song...

Money, Money, Money, it's not funny...

Now Kate Harwood's leaving, move on, next person please...Is it such a demanding job being Executive Producer of a "failing" soap?

Let me in, I'll do it, bloody hell.

I wonder which direction the soap will take now? They've tried gangland Walford, they tried bringing back old cast, they tried bringing in new cast. Maybe if they dismiss the bunch of chimps that type the scripts and bring in some decent talent? No sorry, far too logical!

I do despair really. It seems we've had executive producer after executive producer and nobody seems to be able to really bring the show back up there. Maybe this is the man for the job.

I dont normally post spoilers for EastEnders, but i came across this...

Mon 27th Nov
8.00pm
A distressed Martin sits with Pauline, reliving the night of the fire. Dot arrives at the hospital telling Joe she couldn't face Pauline before – not after everything that was said about her. Outside, Dot tells Martin that they need to tell Pauline the truth. If she'd died in the fire, the last thing she told her would have been a pack of lies. The doctor asks Pauline whether he should call her family back in, but Pauline says no.
