Hmm, I'm intriged. The episode was cut short becuase they removed the funeral scenes. Why on earth did they do that?
I thought it was its normal length. Maybe I was mistaken...
It reminds me of the episode a couple of months ago with the climax (or the first climax) to the Denise/Owen storyline. It was supposed to run for 30 minutes, but ended up running for nearly 40 minutes, and it started at the normal time. Very peculiar.
Well i dont think there was ever a funeral scene, i know there was a rumour on DS about him at his own funeral, but thats about it . Plus if there were scenes axed (which obviously werent) i think we would have heard by now
Hmm, I wonder if Johnny is dead and both he and Jake surprise Shaun at Christmas?
I love Pat, she can smell trouble from two Streets away.
I am actually enjoying this week's episodes... not enough to praise the whole cast and give it marks out of ten for presentation, as we all know Banksy does all that. His name actually appears on the credits at the end now.
What happened to Jake last week? I saw a group of men approach him, but I missed the end.
That's all we saw. We've been left to wonder what happened to him. He sort of smiled which would suggest he had some sort of plan. I get the feeling they did that so they could potentially bring him back if they wished.
Sharon Marshall the lady who does soap gossip for this morning confirmed EastEnders had cut the funeral scenes out for some reason, And they did film Johnny at the funeral in a hoodie but it got cut.
I happened to catch This Morning, and it was mentioned that he was supposed to be in the background wearing a hoodie.
Not a great surprise that it was cut. It would have been confusing, at best, to the audience if he was prominently visible.
Robbie Williams appeared as a background actor in the Vic many years ago - but the difference was that it wasn't announced until after the show had gone on air.
Well what a waste of filming then, i mean why have him in the background? I think maybe they planned to have him fake his own death (If this was in Australia, it would have happend, and got out of jail).

It baffels me though, oh ill live.
That's the thing - if they intended to have him returning "from the dead" in the future then his appearance would make sense. If not, then it would have been a foolish, and frankly self-indulgent move.
Not a unique situation though. In Star Trek The Next Generation, the actress playing Tasha Yar was seen after her "death" waving goodbye from the background of another episode (which coincided with her last day of filming).
