No, it really was awful. I turned off half way through.

Yet another lame "Get me to the church on time" hiccup-attack wedding episode, but this time with two genuinely funny lines:

Billy - I look like Showaddywaddy

Phil - (finding Billy and Minty on bathroom floor) - What is this? Brokeback Mountain?

The second quoted was possibly the first time I ever laughed out loud at EE. An achievement, though a in the midst of a terribly weak run - I haven't watched much lately, and was only watching as I was doing my ironing!

Funniest bit for me was when Billy flew at Phil with Peggy standing up in the car looking shocked Pure Class

Well, looks like this weeks going to be another crap stroyline week, centering around Ruby and Stacy mainly, who are two appalling actresses. So, sadly, EE lost my viewing tonight, and probably will tomorrow as well.

Stacy isn't bad.

As for Ruby - has anyone else noticed that for "acting" or "emphasis" or "emotion", Ruby reads "raise shoulders"? Every so often, when she comes to a key word, she does this kind of elongated shrug thing. It's annoying but once you start watching for it (a bit like the endless "Woss goin' on?") it becomes very amusing.

Let's just hope that the blow she had to the head yesterday was nothing trivial.

Let's face it, if she didn't notice the man directly in front of her ransacking the desk, then she deserves everything she gets.

There was a nice scene between Dot and Jim yesterday, but other than that it was a pretty dreadful installment.

I think Ruby and Stacey are played by good actresses, Joe, Lacey Turner if not being one of the best on the square at the moment.
I've already tired of the Owen/Dianne/Squibble/Deano's dad malarky. It's soul destroying to watch.
As for SJ...I'm not sure, it does seem a little pointless. Maybe they're using her to give Minty a reason for leaving the soap, if he does eventually leave the soap. It's a bit like Elaine...what was the point in her? And that woman (can't remember her name) who had a fling with Ash Ferreira and her cat was fund dead in a bin bag? Friends with Pat? Anyone remember her? She was completely pointless....

Stacys played by a good Actress but Ruby isn't if she sorted out the raiseing the shoulders problem she then could become a good actress.
