As much as I love Neighbours ("ooh yeah I love neighbours..") I don't think that their storyline criteria is suitable for EE but I can see what your saying.

Yea i know what you mean, if EE were to do it exactly the same as Neighbours - there is no way on this earth it would work.

I would like to see a new character that comes in who is 'weird' so to speak. Someone who the public will know as evil, but the Sqaure doesnt, similar to Neighbours - but done differently. A distant relative of the Watts - who will try and rid the Mitchells

I'm just living in La La land lol

Kate Harwood has said in past interviews she plans to make EastEnders more "Gitty" as people like it,But with all the new characters coming in(And lots lots more,it would be wrong to go straight into it,We need to get to know all the new people first..

All soaps have been getting under 8 million.......Noway was that Episode "Dull",If you thought it was,I'd love to know what you watch week in week out.

And once again you prove to be a fool Rolling Eyes

I have been a fan of Corrie & Enders for years, I dropped Corrie in the end due to the increasing number of episodes but I stuck with Enders right up until things got really bad over a year ago. I was however really impressed with its turnaround earlier this year and if read older posts you will find I have raved about it. Now, IN MY OPINION , it's getting very dull. This is due to the piss poor scriptwriting.

May I just say, ONCE AGAIN , this forum is the place to air views and opinions. Daft comebacks like that just fan the flames and put peoples backs up.

In a non-arrogant way...I had to post this somewhere. I've hit my 1000th post, and I'd like to say it's been great here so far!

Well done. I've been here since 2003 and I've still not even reached 1000. Laughing

Thanks. Don't worry, I think most of my posts are in this thread...
BANKS: As far as I know the forthcoming episodes are not ''specials'' they're simply one hour long because of the football.

So the Gary and Minty England trails weren't just to plug the rearranged schedule, it seems EastEnders will actively talk about the World Cup in forthcoming episodes including a scene filmed on Wednesday for that night's episode, reflecting on the result against Sweden.

Corrie and Emmerdale have backed out saying it would be too difficult.

Fair play to EE for doing it though. Not sure how often this occurs - the BBC News article I got this from refers to Brookside inserting a scene in reference to Diana's death and I know EE had one about the Queen Mother but can anyone think of any others?

Only a month ago, EastEnders added an new scene in which Garry and Minty were talking about West Ham losing to Liverpool in the FA final.

Corrie are saying it would be too difficult but it not difficult to put up some flags. Corrie have done nothing, so well done EastEnders.

Slightly different but along the same lines, I believe EE edited a scene at the last minute on 11/9/01 in which one character made a comment about aircraft.

Yes, and wasn't there some scenes last year which were edited. I have a memory like a sieve, but I remember it involving fire, or something - and it was shortly after the London Terror Attacks. Danny Moon springs to mind?
