Why is it that I can't say anything bad about EastEnders without you making some sarcastic comment?

And why on Earth does my one of my quotes appear in your signature?

Because you more or less admitted that the only reason you hate EastEnders is because you have to pay for it.

I was talking to a few members from this forum on msn the other day and most of the people all got this same idea.We think that because you can't stay away from EastEnders (Even though you hate it) you really do like the episodes you watch like many others but are scared of saying so,Because you'd be known as "Banks" or along theses lines

OK then, I really really really love EastEnders, it's got great acting, great storylines, and above all, great writing. Rob Gittins deserves a Bafta for the two masterpieces he wrote on Thursday and Friday, because they were so bloody brilliant. Except it wasn't just those two episodes that were good. EVERY episode is brilliant. Because it's EastEnders. They take the license fee seriously, and give BBC viewers everything they want. EastEnders also has the best looking cast as well, with hot babes like Preeti and Li.

And I agree with you Banksoriginal, no-one should have the right to say anything bad about EastEnders

I think this silly bickering has gone on long enough now. Any chance of getting back to discussing EastEnders itself?

In this week's EastEnders, Dawn tried to commit suicide to get rid of the baby, Max and Stacey continued to commit adultery, Ian told Billy he couldn't move into the Fowler's old gaffe, because it's his ( Confused ) and Stella set Ben up to be beaten up by school bullies!

Then next week, Stella makes Ben think he's wet the bed, and May smashes up the flat with a golf club after Rob gets back with Dawn and the baby!

Oh happy days! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Alot of that will be in TV Burp tonight then Laughing

They definately need a few comedy characters in there like they do in Coronation Street.

I just can't watch it anymore everytime my mum has it on & I hear them screech I just wan't to pop my eardrums. It in no way represents the East End at all and is just an embarrasment now

Oh well never mind Razz

Laughing You just p*ssed all over my rant there, thanks Laughing

Laughing I know what you mean, just this show.... ARGH! I would have rather BBC TV spent a load of money to secure the FA Cup rights than to continue paying for this sh*te.

Oops, that vein is popping out again, I best calm down & listen to some early 90's house Very Happy

I'll be honest I've gone of football at the mo, so if hooligan sprang to mind.... then no Very Happy

Anyway, EastEnders wise are Charlie, Big Mo & Stacey the only one still in it now, I haven't noticed the rest of the family on the odd occasions I've had the misfortune to see it

Well, with respect, if you had allowed those long time members who requested a new thread (one perhaps called, "The trouble with EastEnders"), then we could avoid having to interact with Banks at all.

At least be mindful that typically it is down to one individual that fights start in this thread. People who don't enjoy it now have to explain that they are not "closet fans", as Banks is unable to work out why people still watch it.

Having someone like Banks parading around like an ar$e telling us we don't know what we like isn't exactly condusive to good debate.

Could you at least take the point of a second thread under considersation?

^ I second that. I started up new EastEnders threads multiple times and they were deleted. At least a new thread, started by a long-time member, would give the chance to lay down some ground rules for future debate of the show.
