Well i prefered tonights ending to the recent past endings. I couldnt stop laughing with May going on like a crazed patient. Those rumours about her murdering Rob and Dawn seem so ridiculous now

I think you misunderstood what Philip was referring to. He wasn't talking about the cast complaining about the awards, he was referring to the show itself - which does take itself too seriously. Can you imagine how they would have handled the Richard Hillman storyline? With Corrie we had some wonderful humour intertwined with the drama. With EastEnders, we would have had none of that and would have been subjected to a terribly depressing storyline.
