I'll agree it was better than what we've had recently, I'll give it that.

That's hardly saying much though is it.

Of course not pad. I made that quite clear by calling the episode average.

Last night's episode was poor! Really glad I'm not a member of Digital Spy anymore!

What was with all the pictures of Barbara Windsor in her Carry On films?
The rumours about a fire in the pub circulate about every two months, but it will be good if true[
You messed up the spoiler tags there. Wink

I agree though. We have rumours of a pub fire quite regularly these days but this so-called fire has failed to materialise and I doubt it will happen in this case either.

And Sophie Thompson (Stella) isn't due to leave the soap until December.

After watching Fridays Episode again it really was credit to Peggys time in EastEnders,I bet she had tears of happiness when she saw the script.Would of been nice if they could of got Grant to turn up though.

And I just like Sean more and more after every episode.

I just don't like Sean, when was he suspended - i assume he will be off screen soon, or was that him allready off a few weeks back?

A fantastic interview with Life on Mars star Philip Glenister about the state of British TV in the Radio Times. There were a few excerpts in a MediaGuardian article and I really do agree with this quote:

"I have a soft spot for Coronation Street, it doesn't take itself too seriously. But EastEnders is up its own arse."

I think the root to the programme's problems is that it does take itself far too seriously. It's pathetic, really.
