Yes but the Ant Farm still acted better than half the cast of Eastenders Wink

Helen Mirren, Judi Dench and co could have done those scenes in EE tonight and people would still say its bad.

So Corrie are allowed to do mild things like that, but EE are not?

No actually I wouldn't. Peggy has just become a parody of herself as has Phil Mitchell. The return of these two was supposed to improve ratings & it didn't.

To be honest Brookside up till 1997-1999 was far superior to all soaps, unfortunately it went right downhill and was rightly axed by Channel 4.

Unfortunately BBC 1 still insist on showing this tripe

I almost wasn't going to watch tonight, but felt I should, for some reason.

Peggy has definately gone down in my estimations. Nothing to do with Babs, it's the character. Remember the days when she was married to Frank Butcher, and her and Janine's squabbles? Also when she ran the pub with Phil and Grant? Tonight we had the heart thumping excitement of her going to the gym. Yes you did read right. Going to the gym.

This Stella and Ben thing I'm already starting to get pissed off with. For one, the actor who plays Ben can't act, and two, nothing's really happened in the storyline, apart from Stella making him a hot drink.

Max and Stacey. Further developments tonight in this award-winning storyline included Max and Stacey going into the ex-Fowler house for sex. Ian then came in, so they both ran up the stairs. Then when Ian went out the back, they crept out the front door. Then gormless Bradley oh so happens to be walking along, sees Max, and then for 15 whole seconds, Stacey has to hide. Red top nerd then goes, so Stacey is then free to continue being a cheap, dirty, pathetic tart.

Oh yeah, and dippy Honey told Pat she was pregnant, with the cliffhanger being: What will Billy's reaction be? One of happiness? Well this is EastEnders, so who knows? Rolling Eyes

And, did I hear Honey mispronounce a word? Shocked Shocked Shocked It was so funny, I can't even remember the word she said wrong Rolling Eyes

I agree that Phil is certainly not what he use to be. It would have been much better to end with Dawn telling everyone she was buying the baby, with May walking in just as she was announcing.

Oh well.

Oh hello Banksoriginal, my shining rainbow!

I do like EastEnders. I just don't think it's been as good since it went four nights a week. I certainly don't hate it.
