The credibility of Eastenders defies belief. Does anybody actually do any proper research into the stoylines? For example, in the recent Mitchell/Johnny Allen storyline the cops carted him off without searching the place. And as someone else has pointed out, they don't need to look for an 'x' to mark the spot where Jake is buried - there's a spade there instead!

The Mitchell brothers have turned into 'The Management' from Hale and Pace with their ridiculous posturing.

And now we hear that Martin is going to tap off with two of the most attractive women in the square, when all he's had in the past is trumpet blowing Sonia, who he drove into the arms of another woman. Give me strength!

The only thing that keeps me watching are scenes involving Stacey and Ruby, who are played by cracking young actresses.

Maybe the spade in the ground will lead to Jake's arrest. They seemed to emphasize the spade was left there.

Brilliant post there news woman! Very Happy We've all been trying to say that but with so much nitpicking in EastEnders recently, its hard to keep up.

The Mitchell brothers have changed and to be honest, I don't like it. Grant is far more superior than he used to be and it just doesn't work for continuity.

EastEnders changed for me ever since The Ferrieras and the Louise Beverage (sp? Laughing ) era. Mad

Sloppy, simple storylines have got to stop! This is a national soap opera not Jackanory!

Yes you're quite right about Grant. First of all he made out he's become all chilled out because he's living the life of riley in a sun kissed location overseas. But then we learn that's not actually correct because his relationship's as stormy as his others and he's actually living in duff accommodation in a poxy resort. So what's changed his outlook so much?

I'm glad Martin is going. He's very annoying. It will be a shame to lose our Sonia though. And as for the good Doctor going so soon, he's the best looking guy in Walford.... I shall have to complain to Points of View! Wink

Natasha Beaumont has been cast to play Sarah-Jane (SJ), a new face set to cause a stir in EastEnders later this year.

SJ is Australian and moved to the UK a few years ago when she landed a job in a gentleman’s club. She has been living in the UK for a few months and now has to look for somewhere new to live as her landlord is selling up.

The character first meets some of the residents of Albert Square at Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) stag do when she is booked as the stripper. However, it’s not long before SJ quickly becomes involved with one of the lucky men of Walford.

Of her new role, Natasha said: “I can’t wait to join EastEnders, I’ve been addicted since I arrived in the UK and I can’t wait to whip the Walford men into a frenzy.”

Natasha has appeared in many television shows, films and theatre productions including Little Fish, Water Rats and All Saints.

SJ will first appear in Walford in June.
