Ahh but Little Mo is going in the summer, so maybe he will appear more, and those two will leave the aquare together. It looks possible. There's going to be lots of Brannings!

A happy ending then? I heard
"EASTENDERS Little Mo Slater will accidentally smother baby Freddie to death after motherhood becomes too much.

NO ANGEL JO OFF TO ALBERT SQ

NO Angels actress Jo Joyner is to play Jim Branning's daughter-in-law in EastEnders.

She will star as Tania, wife of new arrival Max Branning, who doesn't get on with his dad.

Delighted Jo said: "The thought of joining the show feels really surreal and I can't wait to arrive in Albert Square."

Her character Tania is a determined mother of two young girls - Lauren and Abi - yet to be cast.

In the past, she has forgiven her husband for straying but now has him on a tight leash.

An insider said: "She is sensible enough to make sure she has got her own money and independence in case she ever has to leave Max again.

"She is smart and funny. Tania will have her work cut out trying to sort out the bad blood between Max and Jim."

It will be a change from playing naughty nurse Beth for Jo. She has been covered in fake poo and sick in C4's No Angels which ends this month.

Yeah, there was a link posted on the other page mate.

But seeming as you've posted:

"who doesn't get on with his dad." - pure example there of instantaneous scriptwriting.....

"Oh? errr lets introduce another new character who is going to be Jim Branning's son.....errr...yeah they won't get on. Print." Rolling Eyes

The Ben storyline isn't too great, it's obvious he'll turn up safe and sound, sadly. Can't they find him ina canal or hanging from the shed at the allotment or something?

EASTENDERS producers are planning a raunchy exit for Martin Fowler after actor James Alexandrou dropped the bombshell he is to quit.

James — who became a child star when he joined the BBC1 soap as Martin ten years ago — made the agonising decision to call it a day after turning 21 on Wednesday.

Last night he told The Sun: “I’ve decided to leave the show to experience other aspects of my industry.

“Having turned 21 I feel it is an appropriate time to leave.”

The announcement comes just three days after co-star Natalie Cassidy, who plays TV wife Sonia, announced she too was quitting. But James stressed: “I owe everything to the show. I would love to come back one day — that is, if EastEnders will have me.”

Soap chiefs WILL leave the door open for him to return after he makes his final appearance next summer.

But sources said they are determined Martin will go out with a bang — along with Sonia.

They have yet to decide whether the couple will leave Albert Square together. Fans were gripped by their recent split following Sonia’s fling with nurse pal Naomi.

And Martin has already been lined up to enjoy a summer of love. He will be casting his roving eye over tomboy mechanic Carly Wicks (Kellie Shirley) and Dawn Swann (Kara Tointon).

Martin’s pulling success will make Sonia jealous and she will be left wondering if she has done the right thing.

During the ten years Martin has been played by James Alexandrou the character has been through the mill.

Pauline Fowler’s son became the bad boy of Albert Square after the Aids death of his big brother Mark, played by Todd Carty. He got Sonia pregnant at 15 and then had to watch as she gave daughter Chloe up for adoption.

Martin went to jail for killing Sonia’s fiancé in a driving accident.

And just months after he and Sonia wed in 2004 he was cheating on his bride. Bunny boiler Sarah (Alison Pargeter) ended up stalking him.

Last night, a show spokesman said: “James has been a much loved cast member. We’ll miss him greatly but wish him all the very best for the future.”

The credibility of Eastenders defies belief. Does anybody actually do any proper research into the stoylines? For example, in the recent Mitchell/Johnny Allen storyline the cops carted him off without searching the place. And as someone else has pointed out, they don't need to look for an 'x' to mark the spot where Jake is buried - there's a spade there instead!

The Mitchell brothers have turned into 'The Management' from Hale and Pace with their ridiculous posturing.

And now we hear that Martin is going to tap off with two of the most attractive women in the square, when all he's had in the past is trumpet blowing Sonia, who he drove into the arms of another woman. Give me strength!

The only thing that keeps me watching are scenes involving Stacey and Ruby, who are played by cracking young actresses.
