I don't think anybody cares anymore now, it was just hyped up in2004 as part of a bandwagon.

Eastenders was beaten by Emmerdale in the 90s, its nothing new. Its always going to lose when it starts in the middle of another programme of the same genre.

Tonight's episode went well then - everyone in the pub deciding to fight at the end. PATHETIC! Mad Who thought that 'extras' could act? Rolling Eyes

I though it was something out of a slient movie, quiet corny. However, I liked the way so much was going on; Carly arriving, Yolande slapping Pat and Patrick, Pat slapping Yolande, the fighting, Pauline and Joe. By the way, let's have some speculation on what Joe 'hasn't told Pauline' yet, if anyone else caught that moment when Megan whispered it to her dad.

I thought last night's episode was fantastic and that fight scene was straight out of Carry on Loving. Laughing

As for the Emmerdale nonsense, see my comments in the other thread. No doubt Emmerdale goes back to an average of 8 or 9 million, EastEnders stays at 10-11, I don't think the BBC will be too pissed off with that do you? Wink

I can't believe people actually liked the fight scene? This is a serial drama not Carry On Camping!

Ah well of course, there is a connection here. How long before the Eastenders producers write a scene whereby Peggys bra pops off and flys over the bar in the Queen Vic and on to Jim Brannings bald head ?

Sure fire ratings winner.
