Watching Eastenders this year you can tell Kat's trying to stand by her word and take ee away from the gangsta storylines (There will be some) but i have found Eastenders really funny this year and some enjoyable storylines

Don't know if this has already been discussed but is Sharon definently returning and if so does anyone know when?

I believe she is returning, unfortunately. She is one person who thinks she's bigger than the show, I always felt Shane Richie was like that too, but not as bad as her.

Wrong,Sharon loves Eastenders the reason she leaves the so alots because she has blackouts so can't work 12 hours everyday like others

I won't comment on that, as you have no proof, and it's obvious you read that on some other messageboard, but that seems highly unlikely.

No I think he's right. I remember reading that a while ago.

Tonight's Eastenders saw brilliant acting from June Brown, I love Dot.

It's true because Sharon was on our local news a few years back for some sort of chairty and the reporter picked up on this illness

Thanks for clearing that up.

Lol! I think I remember something about that now. I had stopped watching for a few months due to uni exams. Quite funny watching her speeding through red lights!

Some continuity errors in tonight's episode.

How come Pauline said that Arthur proposed to her on the day of her sister's wedding tonight? I know she had two brothers (Pete and Kenny in New Zeland) but I though that the only sister she had was the one that she found in Ireland several years ago, the one that she only found out about when Ethel was ill. Is there another side of the Beale family that we know nothing about.

Also, if she's sixty (she celebrated her birthday last year) and Arthur died ten years ago, how can they have been married for forty years unless she was only ten years old when they got married?

While we're at it, how come Patrick and Yolande need Pat to do VAT returns for the car lot, when they must have done the bookwork at the Minute Mart?

However, it was quite an enjoyable episode.

I agree! I am literally SCREAMING MAD at the production crew! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Ruining it!

I honestly don't even think they have scriptwriters anymore, just people to write lines for characters. Its really pathetic.

According to the profile for Lou Beale on the BBC site, she had five children: Pauline and Pete, Kenny, Ronnie (now deceased and rarely referred to) and.

Although I'm sure I read somewhere a few years ago that Lou and Albert Beale had another two children, as well as Kenny, Pauline and Pete, during their marriage, who both died before EE began, plus the illegitimate daughter who Pauline later tracked down to Ireland (and never mentioned since Mary and Conor left the series, probably because of all the hoo-hah that the Irish episodes caused in the first place!) I believe one of them was called Ronnie, and another daughter, perhaps the one Pauline referred to.

"Also, if she's sixty (she celebrated her birthday last year) and Arthur died ten years ago, how can they have been married for forty years unless she was only ten years old when they got married?"

Well spotted, that's a glaring and terrible continuity error.

They were actually married for just over 30 years, their silver wedding anniversary was shown on screen in 1990. A surprise considering Tony Jordan is still part of the production team and he was one of EE's main writers by that stage. If Arthur was still alive and they stayed together they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last year.

I'm sure if the EE forums were still open on the BBC site only dedicated fans would have spotted this... among all the message of the ilk "Aint Deano sooooooooooooo fit" etc.

The writing has improved greatly since the start of the year, everything seems to flow better now.

One strange thing is Yolande's sudden character change. She used to be really nice. I'm actually glad Pat has managed to snare Patrick. I wonder if they will ever bring Frank back again? I just wonder when she whipped out his picture last week. Confused

Gosh totally agree about Yolande! She used to be so calm and nice. She's a complete witch now, and the way she draws back her lips to reveal her fang-like teeth when she is furious is just scary.
