So the (now very over friendly lets forget about the past) Mitchell Brothers have returned then. Now don't get me wrong, its great to see them again but personally, judging by tonight's episode, I think - Grant especially -has had his day. This is just EE getting desperate for storylines and bringing them back is just digging up the past.

A flaw in tonights episode - Grant kicked the pub door in so one would think the lock would be broken? Nope, Chrissie sees the door open and just shuts it again. Rolling Eyes

I think this soap is becoming too much like a stage show. They've got to stop dragging up the past and move on.

I thought tonight's EastEnders was the best episode I've seen for a long time. I thought some of Grant's lines were hilarious, and God knows the programme could do with a bit of humour thrown in...

Yeah it was good but the continuity was still poor.

The Mitchell brothers are now a parody of themselves. They came across like the Hale and Pace characters "The Management" with their ridiculous posturing and hard man act. The "all our yesterday's" script was simply cringeworthy.

The whole storyline smacks of complete and utter desperation on behalf of the producers. Have they learnt nothing from the disaster that was the return of Den Watts?

Nicely put. The only thing that raised a smile were the neccessary comments on quite how portly Grant has become.

Inexplicably, many here seem to see this as (yet another) turning point for the show. Sadly, I do not.

And I must admit I used to be one of the show's biggest fans.

Well not to break the chain, Two nicely put comments there.

I did find the Phil and "Grunt" experience an exciting one, but more of a comedy way as opposed to serious drama. During the Jonny Allen club bit I found myself laughing whenever the "threats" popped up. But perhaps thats percisly what it needs?

I wonder how long this returning of characters can continue? Frank is set to return soon so I suppose it raises the question of whether new characters matter any more?

I personally now find the whole set up a bit 2 Pint-ish, particually the Pat Butcher house, which is more of a cafe than a residence.

Like others have mention there are still some continuity errors, most notably the door last night, which really annoyed me but I suppose was compensated when Dennis had the living (swearfilter) beaten out of him.

In summary Popcies, much better than it was, but still a few hills (or mountains) to go.

And on that note, I shall retire.

I thought last night's episode was predictable but enjoyable.

I was never really a Phil Fan but its great to have Grunt back again, and as "fick" as ever, bless him! Wink

Are you Leticia Dean? If you are, can we have less kissy and smoochie scenes with Dennis.

They really give me the dry boak.
