Grant went to South Africa I think (or was that Kathy?) I'm lost as well.

Apparently, Ross Kemp is angry with Steve McFadden because he criticised (Ross) his acting. They now refuse to talk to each other apart from when filming. Babs has been trying to sort them out! Laughing

I am gutted that Chrissie is to leave the square. She must be one of the soap's strongest characters at the moment and has uplifted viewing figures. However, it was inevitable, taking into account her storyline.

Bring Back Phil and Grant!! liven the place up a bit Laughing It seems to be so boring lately, and Good riddance to Chrissie I think she's a terrible actress, when she's supposed to look sad and upset she looks fake! I Also hear that the Original "Sam" is coming back into it? aka Daniella Westbrook! Not sure if that is true?? Very Happy

Ok firstly, Phil and Grant ARE coming back to Eastenders. Secondly, Eastenders' viewing figures reveal that the soap certainly is not boring, with one of the most captivating storylines of the year so far coming to its climax. Thirdly, Chrissie is supposed to look fake as she is PRETENDING to be upset at the death of her husband. Lastly, where did you hear about Daniella Westbrook? Kim Medcalf is leaving the soap this year, so it's unlikely Daniella would return so soon.

I think I'm right in saying that the Beeb have ruled out the "Sam Change".

Sad to hear Chrissies going, but I hope she does a Phil and Grunt.
One of the best characters at the moment.

Can't stand Ms Piggy doing her upset routine. Bores the hell out of me! Thank god shes on her way out the revolving door...

I was so glad to hear EastEnders beat Corrie in the ratings last night. Must be the first time in a while. EastEnders is absolutely brilliant just now. I've been watching it for two full weeks, which I haven't done for some time. The whole Den's body discovery, Sam up for murder, Chrissie playing the grieving widow and Peggy's return is shaping EE back to its dramatic self! Keep it up! Hopefully the crisis which has stuck with the soap for 2 years now has gone.

Two years! Has it really been that long lol? I reckon it all started with the Ferreira fiasco.

i seem to remember people saying Den's murder back in February would mark a turnaround for the programme, but that never happened did it?

I just hope for their sake of the show that the return of the Mitchells isn't just some band-aid solution and actually serves to improve the quality of the show in the long term.

I think they have finally realised that it takes consitent quality episodes, not one big episode to set the ratings alight, and the last week has been proof. Let's hope they keep it up, hurrah! Very Happy

I've stuck with Enders since it tried to better itself a few months back and I am so glad I did now. Last week and indeed this week have been great. But like I said I hope the momentuem keeps going and they don't slip back to humdrum episodes featuring the likes of Demi, Gus & other people we really don't care about.

Loving the way they brought Stacey centre stage, looking forward to her being the next Kat!

By the way is there any chance we can get the poll on this thread reset so we can have a fresh vote?
