Very true.
Worse still is Kat. Have you noticed how nearly every scene (even those not about her) feature her cackling in the background? Is this to remind us what a "larf" she is?
Its the most forced and unnatural thing I've ever heard.
Watching her slobber over Alfie last night was really testing my gag-reflex.

I think Shane Richie's character Alfie has died a slow death. What was a funny cheeky bloke has turned into a miserable old frustrated loser.

Yeh, a lot of people are leaving. I wonder whether inviting past characters back such as Phil and Grant, is actually going to revive the show. New girl Naomi Julien seems a mysterious character at the moment. However, it seems highly likely Eastenders are planning to bring in her whole family, one of very few black families in the soap.

This link shows Naomi's character profile in the soap, and also states very specific names of her family. So why would the website publish names of non existant family members? Because they must be coming, very soon!

Well apprently Juley is set to return in the Autumn according to Digital Spy which is truely awfull, I couldn't stand his character.
But the return of Grant, Phil and Frank Butcher should boost ratings for the short term. Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden are apprently filming their comeback scenes this week and Ross Kemp is in talks of signing a 6 month deal, so Grant may well be back early next year. I think the BBC are keeping quiet about this though until nearer the time.

Why?? He wasn't any good when he was there, so why bring him back? And what is the point of having Gus, is it just to have an ethnic presence. They could at least give him a decent storyline. They need to bring some new characters very quickly, even though I'll admit I am looking forward to the return of Grant and Phil very much so, I don't think this should be EastEnders main aim.

I agree, they need to concentrate more on the scripts and continuity.
What about them? They're are gone, thank goodness!
My point is, I'm just hoping this new Naomi character and her relations don't bare the same talents to the Ferreiras.
