There was an article in todays Irish Star newspaper, that Eastenders is going to stop relying on od stars to revive the show.
A new pub is to be introduced to rival the VIc with new locals.
And a bothel is to open in the square?
Is there any truth in this?

Gerry Andersons Intro to Eastenders tonight was funny, with him slagging of the skateboarders at Harland and Wolfe, and also now a show where the people have no money and fight with each other.

Never watched one episode of Eastenders since 'den' came back, I much prefer River City (BBC ONE Scot)! It used to be dire but it owns EastEnders now.

You should not do that, next week Eastenders is the best for a long time, because it is Sharon and Dennis wedding and at the same time back in the vic Sam is dugging up Den's grave. Shocked

You're dead right about Rivery City. It's bloody brilliant. Stories move on at a pace you would expect - none of this wading through treacle like EastEnders.

I will say though that last night's story with the Miller woman in EE was excellent. I shed a wee tear when she talked of her mother's suicide.

The thing with EastEnders is that one has to watch hours of rubbish under you get a gem of a scene - and that's why is frustrating to follow it.

I think the worst is now over for EastEnders. The future for the show is looking very bright at the moment with the iniment return of Peggy Mitchell (on Thursday 8th September) and the brother's grim Grant and Phil in October.
The storylines are also beginning to get me hooked again, for the first time in a long while and next week will be fantastic with Sam finally cracking up and digging up Den's grave in the Vic and getting put in prison on suspicion of his murder.

Sharon is Den's adopted daughter!

Again, the Alfie-Kat saga continues. Alfie and Kat start kissing, Alfie says he can't do this, Kat gets wound up, walks out into the square and screams back at Alfie. Getting boring...

I am thoroughly enjoying the Chrissie/Sam saga, but, oh no, its Alfie again. Does anybody really care about this dreadful storyline, if they hadn't already revealed the outcome in every TV Mag, then I might be a little interested, but I really don't care, give me a whole episode of Chrissie any day. Very Happy

I think Shane Richie's character Alfie has died a slow death. What was a funny cheeky bloke has turned into a miserable old frustrated loser. Rolling Eyes

I hope EE is out of its 'bad' stage. But I need this confirmed. No more continuity blips, no more long and boring storylines, no more boring characters. Please! More action, less talk! Less Dot and Pauline for a change. Smile
