Yes the Millers are growing on me as well, that's probably down to the recent change of writers who have certainly mellowed them right down and new Producer Kate Harwood. Ex producer Louise Berridge gave the Millers the 'Neighbours from Hell' tag right from the start, but now they are turning into a likeable family.
Sharon is bound to return next year for a reunion with Grant Mitchell in order to get high ratings. Speaking of Grant, rumour has it Ross Kemp has signed a 6 month deal to stay in EastEnders as part of his new BBC deal. So the Mitchell reunion may well be extended well into 2006., great stuff Smile

I think EastEnders is coming to the end of its life. It has lost major characters within the last few months -

Zoe, Chrissie, Den, Sam, Sharon, Dennis, Kat, Alfie, Nana, Danny, Kate, Janine.

Chrissie is still in the soap....and one of the strongest characters too. To add to that list... Tina (Johnny Allen's wife) is leaving the square as EE want to rid of ganagster storylines (Daily Mirror). I wonder if this means no more Johnny Allen and his daughter Ruby, as I think Ruby is an excellent character and heralds the arrival of freshfaced younger east-enders!

However Phill Mitchell played by Steve McFadden, is in crisis talks with managers after allegations from his girlfriend ( presumably now ex) that he would sexually embarrass her so this could endanger a new contract with EE:

AFTER a 10-year on/off relationship, the ex-girlfriend of EastEnders' star Steve McFadden says they've split because he forced her into a secret life of depravity.

''Angela Bostock, mother to two of his children, claims McFadden has a penchant for "dogging" and allegedly made her go out in his camper van to have sex in front of strangers.

At service stations, she claims, he'd ask her to flash her bottom at truck drivers and on one occasion "made" her have sex with a transvestite while, to protect his identity, he wore a wig and put on an Irish accent. (So he can act then). "He treated me like a slut." '' (Daily Mirror)

Oh dear, more typical tabliod trash Rolling Eyes

The only problem that really annoys me about EastEnders is that they aren't keeping a good storyline going and if they do it is rubbish and goes on for too long. And also the HUGE continuity errors! Maybe a little thing to some people but if you've been an avid fan in the past (like moi) you tend to notice these and it gets frustrating. Rolling Eyes

As far as I'm concerned, I hope Sharon doesn't return. She drives me insane!

... all that Steve McFadden stuff... flashing at truck drivers... just thinking... maybe he should take up with Gillian Taylforth...?

No?

Oh well. Just an idea.

Well the latest rumour to come from Digital Spy is that Steve McFadden is also name calling a large number of the EE cast, including his on-screen brother Grant (Ross Kemp) and mum Peggy (Barbara Windsor) and McFadden is apparently ''jealous'' of the mega bucks deal Ross Kemp was offered in order to return to the show, insisting that he is a far better actor than Ross Kemp is.
It just gets worse and worse Smile

I always thought McFadden was quite shy and reserved in real life.

Yes so did I. I remember Steve being interviewed on GMTV once a few years ago and he came across a completely different person and very polight.
I think again the tabloids are spreading rumours just to cause problems, pretty much like they always do Smile

Why is it all the kids in EE ,especially Ian's kids,do nothing but play computer games? That is so bloody stereotyped.
