Anybody else looking forward to Phil's return on Monday, I certainly am. I know he's only in it for two eps but I'm sure it will be entertaining. Anybody else looking forward to his return?

I'm glad they are keeping Jake on, Danny is a bit of drip so no loss there. As for Phil's return, didn't really like him in the first place so in a way I am not fussed on his return. If Grant returned I would be more interested.

Also on the news of Shane Ritchie's short departure. I think that giving the actors time off to do other things is a good thing. It gives writers a chance to give them a big send off and a dramatic return. Otherwise you get the likes of Pauline and co filling time with mindless rubbish.

EastEnders got 10.5 million last night.

Nice little piece from Rubert Smith from MediaGuardian about last nights episode:

'I would like this to be the only TV column this morning that makes no mention of Phil Mitchell's weight or heavy breathing on his return to EastEnders (BBC1). He spent most of the episode hanging around like a bad smell, while the rest of Walford had better things to do, like having a mid-life crisis or wearing an uplift bra. He lurked noisily in the cellar of the Vic, causing Chrissie to glance nervously floorwards, as if Den might rise up like Hamlet Senior's ghost. Eventually he materialised in Billy's living room; I hoped Billy would join the rest of us in saying "Oh God, Phil, what now?" but instead he just looked blank and handsome. The rest of the episode was notable for a scene in which Pauline, now twice as old as the show at 60, clawed for meaning in a hostile world. She let her guard down, remembered her mother and nearly won our sympathy - but fear not, by the end of the episode she was back to being an ungrateful harridan, which is what she's there for. '

I thought it was a bit daft how they tried to keep the returnee as a surprise, as if we were guessing at his identity!!

they only trailed it to death.

Sorry if this has been mentioned.... Sad

The Mirror is today reporting that Eastenders Hard man, Grant Mitchell Aka Ross Kemp is to return to the show.
Particually liked the "exiled" quote to ITV Laughing
So there we have it. The Mitchells are back in town. Expect "Fammillee!"

I wouldn't believe everything you read in the papers, especially The Mirror who have been known to tell a few porkies.

All this show seems to have, is people returning or Talk of people returning.

Exactly, it all seems to just be pathetic rumours just so the soap can be in the good books again. Rolling Eyes Pathetic BBC! Pathetic!

Tell me your joking....

Phil spends a day ringing from a car then run around at the last minute looking for 3 thousand pound, like someone happens to have it on their dinning room table. Pure soapland....

Clearly now leaves Phil an opportunity to return, i.e. legal technicality and to enact revenge on Beale.

Joel.
Im looking for Bisto cubes, anyone?

I just think that it was an improvement on the poor standards recently.
