My informed guess would be that she'll last somewhere between three and four years.
Feel free to quote me when she goes.

I see from an article in Digital Spy that EastEnders is still doing pretty well, viewing ratings wise, with 11 million recorded last night. This shows there is some improvement for EE, these are the highest ratings for sometime. I wonder if they will get higher with the one-hour special tonight? I love the storyline between Sam & Chrissie just now. I was really shocked when Sam smacked Chrissie last night! Phwoar, I like a good catfight lol!

Not sure if EE will beat Emmerdale in the ratings tonight - Emmerdale is more high profile with Charity leaving, whereas the trails for EE don't seem to be as captivating as the ones for its rival.
I wonder what ITV will do with the junction between the Evening "Noos" and Emmerdale tonight, will they pad it out with trailers or try to start Emmerdale before EE starts, whatever they do then will win the ratings battle.
Then again, if most people get their brain cells in order, they could watch Emmerdale at 7 then EastEnders at 10 on BBC3...

Surely the sensible option when you've got a BBC/ITV clash is to watch the BBC and record ITV. That way you can skid through the commercials when you watch it and save yourself valuable life time.
Personally, however, I'll be on BBC 2W tonight, it's 6/6 of the series about Proutshire.

Another casualty is announced...Derek is leaving Albert Square. This has been confirmed by The Sun and an EastEnders spokesperson. This was on the cards. He will leave in June. Farewell Derek!
