This has been mentioned on DigitalSpy and I think it's a valid point, does naybody actually think that Den hasn't been that bad this week. Kathleen Hutchison certainly kept her promise by making Den really nasty and vile, but there has seemed to be a bit of a U-Turn in his attitude, and this was apparent tonight, him seeing where he went wrong and he wanting kids with Chrissie, and of course on Tuesday, he stood up to Andy. I think I'll actually be sad to see him go.

Of course, then I'll remember his webcam antics and I'll take all those feelings back. Laughing

EDIT: Don't you think that they would have changed the name on the tombstone by now, seeing as Den is alive and so the body there isn't his.

And the Ferreiras made a re-appearance today. With new hair...

I noticed that and didn't the whole lot of them stand out like sore thumbs, the sooner they are gone the better.

I love tonight's episode, mentions aplenty tonight of old cast members such as Arthur, Lou, Peter and Kat. Also Laura and Mel and Cindy was mentioned also mention as Mum!

Can't wait for tomorrow!

I did think it rather 'convient' that Den jumped over the counter 20 years since he did it the first time, and I can't help thinking that the fight was just put in as an excuse for him to do it one last time and to remind people of the first episode...

I thought that. Was a bit of cheap scripting I thought. Imagine the practice that went into that again Rolling Eyes . After all, you are now looking at a 58 year old man!

So has Derek left now? For he is spending a lot of time at the Community Centre.

Well, I have been watching EastEnders now since 1993. I remember the jazzed-up theme tune. I did go through a particularly obsessive period from 1997-2000, hence I wrote numerous letters to Elstree! And always got the same reply. Confused Laughing (saaad!)

Happy 20th Birthday EastEnders (same year as me). Looking forward to tonight's episode!!!

Derek hasn't left (although I didn't see last nights episode) - Alfie asked him to mind the stall a few episodes ago.
Are the Ferrerias just going to be faded out then? I read somewhere that they would go back to India. Must be sometime soon.
Digital spy has some pictures that rather give away some of the events that will happen tonight. Unless, of course they are there to divert rumours away from what actually might happen to Andy.

Not sure if this has been mentioned on this thread but....
Arrow Sharron returns tonight Not sure if that has anything to do with the unfolding mystery we see before our eyes this hour?
On a slightly related note has BBC One commisioned any special idents, i.e. empty albert square with "voices" for this "ONE OFF" special, that one got me. Rolling Eyes

Ferreria Alert level for 18/02/05: LOW.

Arrow I read that she was coming back in The Mirror.
I doubt that they'll have any special idents, though i am loving the promo, especially since they combined all three. Great editing, seeing them all speaking and whilst Chrissie is speaking you then see her mouth move but hear Zoes voice and vice versa. A lot of speculation about tonights storyline has come out today, and Arrow It would be fantastic if Sharon returned. Can't Wait! Happy Birthday EastEnders. Very Happy

Is it my imagination but it seems like Neighbours will have more effort put into its 20th Birthday.

As this thread takes on a more positive twist I've left my comments out of it - especially as I usually criticise those who criticise things they don't watch.

With Dirty Den and Andy Hunter going I thought it might be the beginning of EastEnders revival - but the news that Peggy and Phil Mitchell are to return are no incentive for me to tune back in!

And finally, regardless of whether you think EastEnders should be axed or not, you must admit that tonight's storyline would be ideal for a final episode - killing off arguably the original lead character in the Vic - for good this time!

I'm glad this forum isn't revaeling the killer, like Digitalspy. I've lost counts on the amount of threads stating DON'T CLICK - KILLER REVEALED, but apparently ITV News and The Sun have both revealed the killer, even though I read the sun today and I didn't see anything.

I wonder if Ross Kemp will be returning as Grant Mitchell. There has not yet been any official confirmation from EastEnders or the BBC and the tabloids reported Kemp was returning nearly 2 weeks ago now.
It seems to me that Ross Kemp was offered to return, but he may have turned it town. I sincerley hope he hasn't turned it down though. Having Grant Mitchell back on the Square would really boost ratings. He is a much stronger character than any of the other Mitchells and Den Watts ever was.
