Try and not ruin it for everybody else, and cover up spoilers please. Thanks.

Finally, the show has got back on track, the last two episodes have been brilliant acting, great drama, and I actually sat through them without falling asleep. So seeing as Corrie as it's own thread, I decided to start and Eastenders thread.

I'm sad that Pauls leaving Eastenders, his acting was great tonight, and hes brilliant, sad to see him go.

I did manage to sit through tonight's episode without cringing once, but I'm not convinced yet...

I understand the actor Gary Beadle was bitterly disappointed that his character had been morphed into a drug dealer. He felt this was reinforcing the 'black criminal' sterotype and didn't want anything more to do with it.

Sorry, the gangster-based storyline is boring me. Probably because it revolves around the dislikeable character of Andy Hunter.

But Gary Beadle has been superb as Paul; the scenes with Patrick have been gripping and powerful.

Still not watching - and have no intention to!

And with Dirty Den returning to the Vic, EE is more stuck in it's past than ever before!

Just a sidenote... Digital Spy say that KH first appeared as "Executive Producer" two nights ago.....

Well it's apparent, I'm surprised that she managed to make an effect on it so soon, she really is doing her job.

I think we'll see the biggest change when she REALLY settles in.

ie when the Borreira's, Andy, Den etc are gone and when the Allen family arrive.

Tonights episode was brilliant, very dramatic, and what a twist, even though not up to Coronation Streets standards, still very good and better than what we've been used to, brilliant.

I'm amazed to see that some people on here are saying EE has improved this week. I've not seen more than a few minutes of the programme in years, but I had to sit through a whole episode at the in-laws on Tuesday. It was absolutely dreadful - gangster plots and hammy acting (at best) - I was shocked at what the show has become.

If it has been this bad in recent months... then I suppose it can only get better.

The Christmas Day Episode was very, very good, and once again, a bit of a twist, with Vicky and Sharon leaving together. I didn't expect it to be this good, even though it didn't top coronation street, it was still very good.
