Have not seen it mentioned anywhere else... but thought it was worth a mention.

On BBC 1 tonight, Duncan had a bit of fun on the end credits of EastEnders.

After the end credit squeeze, he started his voice over "Nick’s ‘tummy tuck’ blunder means tragic consequences… " he then played the EastEnders drum-beats for a few seconds and followed it with "...yes, we don’t need another one of those thank you" before continuing with the rest of the voice over.

Very well done... Laughing Nice to see someone in London having a bit of fun.

As a matter of interest... if you read this... how did you do it?

Oh, isn't it sad that I am reading this??? Dead simple, had the drums on CD and just played it in. Just think how cool would it be if the Eastenders drums came on every time something dramatic happened?

"There's no milk left in the fridge" - dum dum dum
"My road tax runs out tomorrrow"- dum dum dum

Ahhh, nice and simple... but effective. Wasn't sure if you still had a CD or Mini Disc player in the con-booths, what with audio servers etc.

As for the EastEnders drums... everything in moderation I think... don't want to get sick of them.

Why do you feel this way Jenny? You often make comments like this but never explain your reasoning.

Absolutely! In a world of bland continuity, always nice to see a bit of creativity. Duncan is pretty much unique by UK standards - for putting in the effort in the first place; and secondly, for managing to pull it off and actually be funny and not overdoing it!
