Actually, I didn't mind them. They looked strange at first, but then I got used to it. I actually think the screen grabs look great! Smile Am I the only one then?

Yup! Reality's a vital ingredient of a good drama/soap! So stick with nice clean VT!

Someone should tell that to the producers of Holyoaks and Family affairs because they look terrible with FRV added. Night and Day is actually shot on film, so the effect is not added, so are most drama specials, though drama serials are usally VT'd.

Nah! British soaps are far too much concerned with 'reality' IMHO. Especially when the reality they portray is so unrealistic anyway. We need some more interesting fantasy scenes. They can reveal more about someone than entire year worth's of episodes sometimes.

I hate fantasy scenes. I cant actually remeber seeing Kathy's dream on the programme, but that sort of thing does not look good on a soap. Brookside have had a few flashback scenes and they too, looked terrible. Fantasy scenes dont look very good in soaps and reality is the spice of life IMO In soaps I like reality with no fantasy scenes. They look awful and Im glad EE only used the fantasy that once and the only music played over scenes is the occasional time 'Julias Theme' is played over the end of an episode instead of the drum beats.

Suspect the Eastenders credit roller (as opposed to the standard cards) - both terms inherited from when captions were on paper or card - were just for the festive specials.

The Beeb don't seem to be doing many of their 'trail over credits' at the moment, and it was probably deemed to be a nice idea to give a full credit to more people who work on the show?

Wouldn't be surprised if it returned to left justified cards once we're back to normal episodes.

Anyone noticed that the end cap where the (C) BBC bit is still says:

BBC ONLINE: www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders

and not BBCi: www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders

Its because the credit sequence is already made with the panning over the map with the copyright caption and wesite address already in the recording. It is re-edited every year so expect to see the BBCi address form January 1st. Becasue of this back EastEnders used the old BBC logo throught 1997.

It shouldn't be in the copyright caption anyway - it's plain senseless putting it there!

To be honest, I'm think its stupid having it there anyway.

Who the hell doesn't know that EE's web address is www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders - they are constantly promoting it!

You'd be surprised - first-time internet users, old people, and many people won't even know that there is a web site for Eastenders, and they want to get this point across. It's for the benefit of those who don't know - if you do it just ignore it!
