I like the music used just before the end of episodes when people leave, or someone dies.

They used the 'special' music (like BBC world this) when Grant threw Tiffany's ashes over the cliffs and into the sea. Just before the credits roll, and we see a wide shot of Grant, peg, and the baby, you can jsut make out a bloke coughing out the ashes on the beach below the cliff Wink

That version is very sombre, I've heard a different version of it, ie. when Bianca left Ricky.

Coronation Street is so unbelievable!

A tiny Manchester Street with a corner shop, pub on the corner, a newsagent - sorry post office, factory, mechanics, near by health centre, cafe, chip shop, hardware store.....

The titles haven't changed for 10 years and the theme hasnt changed in 40 years - atleast EastEnders has storylines which capture the public imagination although the Alma storyline is qutie good for once.....

Coronation Street has been doing this for years and years longer than Eastenders. Eastenders is the new kid on the block, Corrie has had more drama, comedy and more storylines that capture the public imagination than the BBC newcomer. The music has actually changed over the 40 years, but all these things are part of its appeal. Although from what you say it sounds as if you watch it quite a bit anyway.
