...in your opinion. The majority of people praise her immensely. One of the best of the characters of this Eastenders generation even.
As for the live show, I wasn't expecting anywhere near as many locations which I was very impressed with. When Corrie tried it they were only in about 3 places, which in some ways makes sense. I guess this has proved when you have the equipment for one night, it's possible to be more elaborate.
...they seem to rate Lacey Turner a lot higher than she deserves.

If there was so much then he wouldn't have been there.
Overall a decent episode - lots more scenes than I thought which added to the ambition.
Did anyone notice the table lamp in the Queen Vic bedroom which went off briefly in the background to Roxy/Ronnie?
Hmm Leslie Grantham away from the rest of the cast.
Interesting.
Is there still a bit of resentment at Elstree over Webcamgate?

didn't June brown say she called Dotty Molly (the actress's name)
very good, and interesting to watch knowing it's live, Scot Maslin lost it a few time, didn't he do the Bill live episode.
the queen vic looked very fake on that roof shot, was this episode in HD
couple of continunity things, what was Adam doing there if Manda had split with minty and they've both left the square
and zaneb wasn't pregnant

June Brown said on the BBC Three show that she had gotten mixed up with Dotty's name.
Also, you could quite clearly see Zainab's huge bump!

Did anyone else notice the 'fizzy' picture, especially on the credits.... hard to describe really....?

Straight-up repeat on BBC Three, accidental zooms and all. iPlayer is an off-air recording from BBC One as it has the continuity announcer over the credits. I presume it'll go out as it did tonight on future repeats and syndication to Dish Network and BBC Prime and what not because that is the episode as it stands.
With regards to the episode itself, not bad at all. Not much in the may of monstrous screw-ups. No stray cameras or anything. No random camera cuts to unrelated items or anything. A wobbly camera and a stray zoom were to be expected. Apart from that you'd be very hard pushed to tell that it was live at all from the way it was all delivered.
Major kudos though to the end stunt and what must have been copious amounts of pushing, shoving and reorganising to get shot of the crash mat, the stunt man and paint the actor and the floor in, what, 45 seconds?
Regarding the video player, not totally uncommon to have it plugged in and ready to play, since that's generally how most of them work. Shove a tape in and most of them will play tapes with a missing record tab automatically.

Will future repeats of this episode be as transmitted, or 'tidied up' with the rehearsal scenes?

That's easier to overlook than the fact that Ian was pushing a camera round the Fowler living room on tracks 20 odd years ago
Another odd thing - it looks like Max is actually sticking his fingers down his throat when he's faking (I hope!) being sick.

These scenes are always contrived though. You can always tell they've come from professional footage. It never ceases to amaze me in fictional productions that involve audio/video equipment everybody regardless of their background just happens to have or can acquire a dirt-cheap camcorder that can record in widescreen, with professional quality audio and video and very little camera shake. Quite good for 1986 apparently.
Plus Ian hasn't set his TV up right either, and is actually stretching a 4:3. picture to fill his display. Which kind of defeats the whole point of having a widescreen TV in the first place.
If you stick your fingers down your throat you can make yourself physically sick. Especially if you dip said fingers in something revolting beforehand. Don't forget Max just saw his son fall off the roof of the Queen Vic and fall to his death. A sight like that probably would make me want to be sick as well.
