Just under an hour to go before the live EastEnders episode! The entire credibility of EastEnders rests on this episode and if it goes badly it could distroy it's reputation and will be confined to the stocks.

Didn't realise it had any credibility left.

It's strange, this time 10 years ago, I was loving EastEnders. I was a major obsessive Embarassed but the show has changed, I have changed and that is it. I find it sad that it lost it's way but I'll watch the LIVE remembering the past - which is ironically what the show is doing in many of it's storylines!

Pretty much the same - back in the nineties it was head and shoulders above the other soaps, but it then remained stuck in a rutt and I gave up watching regularly around 2003, with the last episode I watched being the awful murder of Dirty Den (I'm guessing to mark 20 or 21 years).

And from what I've seen so far it's still it's badly written poorly shouted stuff!

Looks as if Stacey's had a couple of lines erased.

Apparently she's suffering from a throat infection.

... and just now you heard some of the talkback in the background!

Bit of NYPD Blue camerawork just there - an accidental (I assume) crash zoom on Stacey.

I think it was already due to be 31 minutes or so, but they still managed to over-run by a minute.

Doof doof indeed - not bad all round. I liked Jack's bit of in-character prompting: "Let him go! Bradley's on his mark!"

The bit with the Mitchell women seemed a bit odd - Peggy tells the girls she's going to give them the truth, when it comes back Roxie is yelling that she doesn't believe her, then we get Peggy's revelation... that she didn't kill Archie. Seemed a bit irrelevant to the conversation before, unless I was missing something.

That weren't 'arf bad! Other than a couple of crash zooms, and a tiny bit of dead air for about 5 seconds near the end, that was very slick.

God imagine if Staceys voice had finally gone on that last line.

Just quickly switched over to BBC Three, and George Lamb just pushed right in on the actor playing Bradley, not giving him 5 seconds to take in finishing his last scene. Idiot.

Surely in real life the last thing a policeman would do is follow Bradley up the roof though.

No wonder they were worried when Lacey fell ill.

What a trouper.
