How desperate are the BBC getting with their continual promotion of the fact that they've broadcast this 'misery-fest' to the world for 25 years? Shocked

did I miss anybody?

wonder if the guy playing DC Hughes (Jamie Treacher) is related to Bill Treacher who played Arthur Fowler )

interesting casting in that both Carol and Bianca have mix race sons both played by actors called Devon

So apparently this is the real life square that they modelled for the show.

Couldn't believe what I just heard now in the Argy Bharji - Tracy (Barmaid Tracy) uttered twelve sentences all to herself and featuring around one hundred words!!!!! This must be a first, surely. (we are weeks behind you guys here on BBC Prime).

Steve - thanks for the cast list.

2 reasons to watch Easties tonite then, apart from the obvious.

Any technical problems?

Will Lacey Turner's voice hold out?

be funny to see the queen vic clock actually saying the same time as our clocks, if it works that is.

have you ever noticed the subtle lack of clocks on soaps, and when you see them they never have a second hand or work, they say the same time for the entire duration of a three minute scene

apparently they've timed the movement between the studios and the square so that character have time to actually get from A to B so we won't see anybody leave the vic then promptly appear outside and walk across the square

remember the corry live episode where everybody left the rovers except for ken and Peter who stayed behind and did a scene together to give everybody else time to run from the studio onto the street set (which is a lot smaller than the eastenders lot)

they'd not be able to do an emmerdale live unless it was all indoors or outdoors

they could have done a live brookside as it was all done on the one set

anyway two and a half hours to go Smile

Wasn't the parade in brookside about 2/3 miles away from the close?

The Bill did it in 2005 and a timecheck

"What time is it"
*shot on clock*
"Twenty two, just calm down"

It's interesting when The Bill went live, I remember Graham Cole forgot to finish a line when talking to Mickey Webb in the corridor.. something like "So how's it going..*pause* Sorry, what I meant was.. How's it going up in MIT?".

Of course, that won't happen tonight.... it'll be worse, probably! Wink

The Bill also, if I remember correctly, had a time of death declared by a doctor during the live episode. He might have been told to pad it out a bit, because he paused so long after saying "Time of death" that it looked like he'd forgotten how to read a clock!

It would be nice to see a few mistakes tonight, one of the few reason's I'll be watching, and the fact that I might as well anyway, also, seeing as it'll be most likely light in the square, the clock thing won't work, as it would be dark at the time, when it'll be light on the square.
