First ever episode of eastenders i've watched and I played 'Eastenders bingo' basically I wrote down a few predictions (EG: -A death -Crying -It all goes well in the end) and got half of them right.
I predict that Archie will die in the autumn and perhaps Ronnie will poison him or something, out of revenge. I can see her being the next Chrissie Watts.
Fantastic episode last night. And they kept the ending a big surprise. Normally I have a good idea what will happen from the tv magazine, but they managed to keep the ending a big secret, and a big shock
At least a certain character should hopefully be going to jail where she belongs now
The ending had been leaked on to Digital Spy in January so annoyingly I knew she was dying well in advance. And it had been practically confirmed that Danielle was leaving anyway beforehand so it was a matter of how, not if - although for those who weren't aware of this, it would have been quite a shock.
Very good ending. Medicore storyline. Circular, static, repetitive, and far, far too long. EastEnders does dramatic climaxes like no other, and they do them very well, but they often struggle with managing to sustain interest in a long-term story arc, usually falling into the trap of allowing it to dominate for weeks on end, leaving other characters to fade into the background - they did this with the Branning aftermath last year as well.
But as a standalone episode it was almost faultless - although that stunt was a little dodgy.
I saw the end of it last night - absolute rubbish in my opinion. Normally people move out the way when standing in the middle of the road and a car is coming towards them.
And EastEnders is nominated for a BAFTA...lets remember that everyone...BAFTA

but at the same time you don't have long to move out the way

I love the fact that with you its always oh I saw the end or I was flipping channels and saw it by mistake
Fantastic ratings for EastEnders on a weaker ratings day with a peak of 11.5m and 48.3%,The highest share for any primetime show this year.
Mad that it caused a national power surge while also overloading Digital spy servers for a few minutes and becoming twitters hottest discussion.Just proves what good drama can do
Yawn. might have known you would crawl out of the woodwork the moment I post anything critical about EastEnders. And for the record, I happened to tune in for My Family...which in itself is not as good as it was.
To me this is rather surprising news. I would have personally expected Kim Medcalf back but I suppose if she has no intentions of going back then I suppose they have no choice if they want the character to return again.
