As I said previously, EastEnders is not the sort of show you cobble together in five minutes the night before it goes out on air. The Frank's funeral was tooted since Mike Reid died last summer, and this allows time for it to be written (if its not written you have no show), researched, approved, re-written, repeat as necessary, approved, filmed, stuck together with some other material, broadcast, stuck in the archive and wheeled out 18 months later for UK Gold.
It would not surprise me if there are distant plans for 2009 storylines going on as well that can be sown later this year and reaped as and when next year. After all, the more you do in advance, the less you have to do when the time comes.

Since you've decided to write it, surely you should have some inkling of where to start? You don't just wake up one morning, fire up Microsoft Word to write a fanfic and then go type on a random forum "I wanna do this but I dunno where to start". Something must have occurred to you in your head to want to write it, and if it were our ideas it wouldn't be your fanfic.

I thought I'd watch EE for the first time in a long time, and needless to say, I won't be watching it again. Why have they brought Bianca back? She was a rubbish character originally, and nothing's changed. This latest plotline involving Steven/Stacey/Christian is really cringeworthy, and the Roxy/Ronnie/Jack situation is really boring.
