Actually, for a family programme, in a pre-watershed slot, I thought Friday's programme would be really quite inappropriate for some audiences.

What a great cliff - hanger on Thursday Night. Spectacular scenes!
Friday's episode was also great - it was really quite gripping at some stages.
EastEnders has not had anything like this for a long time - well done to all involved!

Shaun, say what you want pal!
Me personally, I couldn't give a stuff. Apparently the highlight was Ben losing his glasses...whoop-de-doo.

Strangely enough, so did I, considering it had been hyped up heavily.
Having seen it and Thursday's instalment - the scenes of Peter Beale flapping about in the water because he got stuck in the seatbelt (again) and the next scene of him just floating there in the water having passed out were probably the hardest scenes to stomach of the entire lot, IMO anyway. They were strong but I think they were just suitable for an after 8pm slot. The crash itself was way OTT and in reality would have probably been fatal and wiped the lot of them out. But I suppose one has to apply suspension of disbelief in soaps when it comes to this sort of stuff as reality tends to go out the window in favour of some on-screen action.
But having said that, the episodes were, so far the lake stuff went anyway, very good.
