Ben annoys me, he's 10 years old but to me he feels like a 7 year old. He's just so whiny. I don't remember being whiny when I was 10
Isn't he 11 or 12 years old? And he does look younger than he is
Ben's 11. 12 in March next year. He was strangely just about bearable until the car crash/lake stunt in May and then just went downhill from there, really. Bit of a missed opportunity to get shot of him, that was.
As much as I hate that ba.......[ahem] brat Ben. The shows producers must have thought "well we have to have an excruciating (sp?) child in order to appeal to the single mum/girl teenager audience" so I guess that is why it is still in it.
Anyway, rant over. The Sun reports that Albert Square is to be demolished and rebuilt to High Definition standards. The British Broadcasting Corporation says the current set is to 'shabby'.

I don't think this is new, I'm sure I read this somewhere else months ago.
Anyway The Sun isn't exactly a top-notch reliable source. They reported exactly the same thing back in August.
In fact, in July this year, The Star on Sunday were also reporting that the EastEnders set was being moved to the Pinewood Studios. The BBC later denied this. They'll probably deny that the Albert Square set is being "demolished", more rather "refurbished" or "rebuilt". The Sun likes using action words like "demolish" because it sounds more exciting than "rebuild".
Getting EE on BBC Prime, I think we are a couple of episodes behind UK transmission, hence the most recent episode screened here was the one with Stacy and Stephen (Steven?) inside the Arches garage, floating in petrol.
Does anyone else find Steven's portrayal a bit too OTT? It's almost like the actor (forget his name) was congratulated for being good in a school play once and then automatically thought he was the next Jack Nicholson.
I know he is playing a "disturbed" character, but the facial expressions and movements are OTT.
accordning to one sunday papers the cast of Easternders got compleatly pissed at their Christmas party, so, like any other company on the planet they had a party to celebrate the season and got rat arsed, wow bloody wee, hold the front page
why can't they, the staff at your local tescos probably got a bit merry as well, so did the teacher at your local primary school, it's Christmas, works out, parties are in, so let them enjoy themselves and their holidays

Indeed, it's hardly a news story, but then again it's publicity. More people will probably read the newspaper article than actually watch the programme. After all, I've read this thread and I haven't watched EE for years!
I'd be more concerned if it snows in Albert Square on Christmas Day.
Hmm.. I mean, last year's show with Pauline's death was a complete joke. It was as if they'd harked back to the 1800s and Jack the Ripper was about.
come on Max's brother isn't that bad
just thought, which is even rarer at Christmas, but didn't Phil buy the video shop as an inventment for Ben. In which case why has he sold it the evil landlady who evicts familys with disabled children at christmas
