I thought it was Lucy's supposed boyfriend, the one Ian took by the scruff of the neck and told to leave her alone....

But to be totally honest I thought it was proper pants *and i mean a stronger word than that. I really have no empathy with any of the characters anymore, I couldn't give two figs if Ian was now thrown off the building too his death. Eastenders is totally laughable.

Liam was arrested over the attack on Patrick Truman and is (supposed to be) in a Youth Detention Centre.

Liam? It was Craig.

Liam?, isn't that Ricky and Bianca's son?

anyway Lucy's boyfriend was Craig.

how old would Steven be now then?

Steven would be 17 now, 18 in December.

Fantastic episode (although the ending confused me - I'm just going to assume it's a re-casted Steven). I cannot wait to see how this story develops - apparently there are plenty more twists and turns to come.

I do apologise - I blame the other half - he said his name was Liam!

funny how the lights go out but the lap top and the kettle still work

ok the lap to could work by battery

I've just caught up with Enders today and I must admit I do think it's beginning to pull itself out of the doldrums. That episode with Ian in the flats was very eerie indeed.

Now if memory is correct Steven went with Pat to Australia and he decided he wanted to stay with his dad Wicksy? He was a bit of moody bar steward if I recall but by no means unhinged like his mother.

Plausible that the lighting circuit has blown (it is an abandoned and dangerous building) but the kettle still works. The laptop could work on battery, yes, but the quality of the sound of Sinead O'Connor's song was too good quality for conventional speakers to be powered by a laptop so they'd need their own power source. You could hear the sound echoing after it was switched off, and I'd be surprised if built-in laptop speakers were that good.

Found out Ian wasn't his dad, Simon Wicks was. Steven decided he wanted to live with him in New Zealand instead of Ian. A bit screwed up in the head mind but not all that uncommon for Walford residents of any age.

Well at least they have an excuse. A few weeks ago I noticed some of those chocolate filled advent calendars on sale in Sainsburys. I mean August is still summer - right? Rolling Eyes

Eastenders film 8 weeks ahead so they are well into November by now

Normally six weeks ahead but they speed up production around this time of year in order to meet demands of extra episode orders for the Christmas period. By the time you normally get to Christmas proper you're filming episodes due to go out in February/March, and then after time off for Christmas/New Year it balances itself out to stay six weeks or so ahead of transmission.
