, Billy Mitchell has been along at West Ham shooting his Olympic Torch segment.
Looks like you saw Billy's Olympic Nightmare being filmed. It is currently on the red button. It's quite good, Billy Mitchell ruins The One Show with Kriss Akabusi as a guest.

If by "quite good" you mean "god-awful" Well, no, could've been worse I suppose.
But anyway, I wasn't really paying attention just now and I'd rather not sit through it again - is there an actual end/beginning or did they actually make it a proper loop?

It ends with closing credits, just after Billy learns the true meaning of Christmas. Just how would they make a loop without a beginning and an end anyway?
The entire EastEnders research team must have gone on strike - that or Lola's tagging storyline must've been rushed...
Lola damages car and car-lot desk, destroys 1 V5C by coating in chip fat. Max Branning cleans up and takes no further action, other than wanting repayment for the damage, he doesn't notify DVLA these have been destroyed in a criminal attack (or the DVLA would be pressing charges).
Lola makes them think it was Lucy Beale, Lucy finds this out and reports Lola out of spite, police then arrest Lola on this whim, without any evidence (there's no necessity for arrest at this stage, you'd struggle for prompt and effective) - the very next morning she goes to Magistrate's Court and is found guilty of causing criminal damage to the car (still without any complaint from the property owner for the offence which took place on private land, with no CCTV cover) nor an admission of guilt from Lola's part and gets a tag/community order and curfew.
Monday's episode she is 20 minutes over her curfew and causes damage in a shop, heavily pregnant 16 year old is then handcuffed (good luck.), bundled into the back of a police car which then wheel spins off with a compliant DP in the back with the blues and sirens on - how realistic!

For those wondering, the AD on tonights EastEnders started off by saying something about watching the Wednesday Omnibus. I didn't catch the start, I assume they were saying that the second episode will not have AD during tonights broadcast. So far, there has been AD throughout the first episode as normal. Did anyone catch the complete message from the AD guy?
I expect the same message will be included in the BBC Three broadcast too.
Not necessarily. The lack of Audio Description is simply because it's live. The subtitles will probably be less than accurate for the same reason. Of course, the BBC Three repeat isn't live, and neither is the omnibus.

I'm sure it's not impossible to get the AD done for the repeat of the live bit by 22:30 if they really wanted to but the AD gentleman specifically mentioned Wednesdays omnibus so I should think the same AD will be played out at 22:00 on BBC Three. The second episode has no AD at all, not even the announcement about the Wednesday omnibus.
It would even be possible to do the AD live, that is what they are doing for the Olympics Opening Ceremony.
An hour to record a half hour audio description, including re-takes, ensuring there's no talking over any dialogue? And then probably having to do it all again for the omnibus because it wouldn't be up to the usual standard anyway? It might just be doable, but I'd think they'd be extremely hard-pushed, and if they couldn't get it done in time all the effort would be for nothing.
Slight
continuity error with Lola's tan between the pre-recorded and the live, I thought...

David
There was a huge continuity error, at 21:10hrs the square was bathed in bright sunlight, extraordinary considering sunset in London last night was 21:01hrs
