I have to say last night and tonight's episodes were excellent. Compared to the dull Coronation Street they have been leagues ahead...

... for the first time in years.

Superb episode tonight. A wonderful, thrilling climax to a brilliant storyline. Well done EastEnders.

Is this just a blip, or does it have the power to sustain its self now? From what ive read throughout the rest of the summer is suppose to be really good, with the new characters, storylines etc.

No (basically)

I haven't watched EE for ages, but had friends round last night and it was on TV.
Arrow I thought it a badly written episode with little/no thought, or believable dramtic intent.
Arrow My friends (who watch EE normally) thought it was "funny", not emotion stirring! (funny = "pathetic")
Arrow Not the "gut-wrenching" turmoil of emotions other writers come up with.
Arrow Are BBC Soaps ( sorry, BBC Continuing Series) buying their stories from people they mug in the street?

Well what exactly are you sort of people looking for? I mean this is not Prison Break or other crap American dramas.

I wouldn't say its a blip most people agree EastEnders has been getting better and better since "Sir" Diederick Santer took over.

And Prison Break isn't crap i only started watching it last year and i can't believe i missed this great drama from the start.

Well with Prison Break and others like it i can understand why America is the way it is.

Yeah, If only those crap dramas were as brilliantly written and superbly acted as our soaps. The Wire, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos aren't a patch on Hollyoaks, Eastenders & Corronation Street. Rolling Eyes

Only a brain dead Soap fan would call American dramas crap. Rolling Eyes

Well im not keen on American Dramas. Anyhow American Dramas are very different to daily soap operas so im not trying to compare the two.

All im trying to get across is, or asking is what do people want. Our daily soaps are not 30million, one hour a week, season stuff, its basic run of the mill drama.

So im braindead because i dont like American Dramas ? How childish Rolling Eyes

Oh and another thing, if Americans spent less time watching bloody Prison Break or CSI they might actually realise that the rest of the world exists.
