Wow. This thread hardly sees the light of day these days.
Anyhow, due to service provider availability, I have only just managed to get EastEnders back, via BBC Entertainment. Today's episode just screened was one entirely of Dot Cotton, running around the square, visiting various folk, trying to obtain a tin pf Golden Syrup, to make a favorite dish for bedridden husband, Jim.
It was an excellent espisode, showcasing the great acting skills of June Broon. Hope the same level of quality is maintained going forward, but am guessing that it probably isn't.
I guess one of the things about soaps is that even if you haven't seen it for nine months, you can still figure out what's going on.
Oh, and there appears to be the obligatory Polish national In the cast as well now.

Interesting twist to the Tanya, Max and Greg storyline:
Much better than the usual 'Who's the Daddy?' route. It will be interesting to see Jo Joyner tackling the storyline, I'm sure she'll do it justice.

I have to say, Joshua, I fully agree. Jo Joyner - like Lacey Turner - is a brilliant actress. She has made some of the drab story lines somewhat watchable.
But, who is viewed these days as EEs "leading lady"? Now that Babs has gone, who is the new matriarch? Lindsey Coulson, perhaps, or Jessie?
As noted above, haven't seen the program in nine months, hence my question.

DA
Oscar was good in tonights episode. First he gave Lauren a fantastic stare when she was telling her mother to shut up and then later he ran upstairs enthusiastically to fetch Abi's slippers. All this without saying a word. It is nice to see a mute character in a soap, I hope he has some big story lines coming up soon.

small kids are funny in soaps because they aren't acting, they are just being themselves and reacting spontainously to the situation,
some times it doesn't work like when Dawn was stuck in the millers house after the doctor set it on fire, all through the scenes the baby playing Summer had a big smile on her face
