I thought it looked like the back of the studios, I take it the interior is a set, if so it's massive, then saying that I've seen how TV can make a very small space look huge just by different camera angles
must have took them a while to film with baby tommy in almost every scene, I'm sure somebody wilth greater TV knowledge will know how long a baby can be on set, I doubt it's very long though
general question, when did the new Ben start, was it before Peggy left as she'd been out almost a year now

I did notice on the final scene between Kat and Ronnie there were some quite clever close ups where the baby's head was out of shot a lot of the time.
Also I guess the kid is still at an age where it can have doubles, at least when facing with his back to the camera which would help?

According to Jessie Wallace, two babies play the part of Tommy!

It think it's been standard practice for kids to be played by multiple kids (sometimes twins) in drama for years. Shameless had twins playing the same teenager for the first series.
Later on, any switch requires a long trip upstairs or a stretch in youth detention.

Yeah, but it would kill them to make it lead more gracefully into the end credits?
The gang of gawping extras outside the Queen Vic stood out a bit, but other than that it was good acting from the nicely minimal cast. I assume Ronnie will be leaving shortly - anyone know about Jack?

we had julia's theme there, usually saved for exits not reunions, nice touch though

The extras were pretty awful weren't they?

I thought it was strange that the CA took the piss a little and pretended to cry over the end credits. Earlier in the year when this storyline was running, the BBC Action Line graphic and VO was burnt on to the programme so that it appeared the same on BBC One, BBC One HD, BBC Three, BBC HD and BBC iPlayer.
What did the CAs in the nations do? I think most links are scripted so did they pretend to cry and say 'I love a happy ending' too?

mrs lobster had eastenders on this evening.
well, I must say the quality of acting tonight not least the wailing from samantha womack was edging towards the rather excellent standards we can expect from neighbours or possibly even home and away or hollyoaks. very convincing stuff, I nearly shed a tear myself.
