Was that down to the ONE Show being extended to cover the Volcanic Ash story the other week? Am sure EastEnders was scheduled but was taken off and replaced with a BBC News/ONE Show special?

Also, I remember BBC Three the other week at 10pm saying that EastEnders wasn't on that night due to 'reasons beyond our control... so here in it's place, earlier than billed, is...' but can't remember what it was that replaced it. Think it was that celebrity driving thing with Kirstin O'Brien and Will Mellor.

Also talking about EastEnders does anybody know when ...is due back?

That would be a very unusual step to take.

It isn't the ONE show, though, is it?

Eastenders is the last show that would get removed from the schedule

I am 99.9% certain that no BBC1 airing has been cancelled in the past few weeks

Maybe an hour long episode got reduced to half an hour, but if so it must have been done with some notice, since I havent seen an hour long episode advertised in the tv listings magazines recently.

There was an hour long episode on Thursday 1st April (when Jack was shot) to make up for the episode it lost due to Sport Relief on Friday 19th March.

However, I know what people mean about it feeling like episodes are out of place. I did look into it but couldn't find a reason as to why it is the case.

The only reason I can think of is that maybe the Syed reveal episode was written as an hour special but the BBC then decided to split it across the Friday and Monday.

I agree that the episodes definitely aren't in sync so there must be a reason why.

That kind of disproves the missing episode theory doesn't it? It looked like the bit with them talking about the result was shot at the same time as the rest of the scene with only the close up of the newspaper being done today.

The scene didn't make much sense though, it was obviously written with an overall majority in mind. Darren said something like "What do you think?" and Minty says "I think we should get a drink before they put the prices up". A hung parliament wouldn't put up the price of beer.

yeah reported on Digital Spy a few days ago that they were going to add the shot of the newspaper - recorded earlier this morning.

Nice catch all line though, seeing as that's the kind of thing that would be said by the average Joe regardless.

A bible-bashing Dot Cotton turns up halfway through this clip. (Thanks to the author).
