Apparently the viewing figures dropped to around the 8 million mark recently, which isn't surprising as last night's atrocious episode more or less confirmed my theory that the producers are trying to turn EastEnders into Byker Grove.
On their head be it - watch those viewing figures fall.
I think Diederick Santer is preparing the programme for the handover to that new executive producer, the Hollyoaks man. I believe there are far too many young people in EastEnders these days, we need more older people. Although please get rid of Carol she is dull and boring!

Apparently soap ratings have been a bit all over the place recently in general. There is also the lighter nights to consider. And the impact of the live episode on storylines (though that should be coming to an end now)
Thursday's epdisode was as expected very low due to it being up against Emmerdale

I knwo what you mean. Thursday's 'dates' were rather funny IMO but such storylines aren't going to appeal to the majoirty of the audience
Though the return of Kat and Alfie is a very positive move

Really?! Alfie was charming but annoying, and he's on his own without his family, same for Kat. None of her sisters will be there with her, which I think made both characters stronger.
I don't see that as a positive move. But I do see today's news of Lucy Benjamin coming back as Lisa Fowler a very positive move!
Why did Amira get 'The Music'? She did not deserve it. She was not in the programme long enough, she didn't die, neither did she make a big impact on the programme. So I do not know why do got the special treatment.

I think it was mainly because despite her heartbreak, she had the baby. The music gave the moment where she touched her stomach a feeling of emotion, IMO.

Tough luck with the baby Amira but we will never see you again and you will never see your 'husband' again either. Even so she still did not deserve 'The Music'.

I have no idea who you're talking about, but you sound like a meany bo-feeny.
