The dialogue will be odd for a start, Jack ends the Thursday episode with "You have got to run" and Bradley starts the Friday episode by saying "How do you know?".

Jack's penultimate line is "They're on their way over here now." so it will sound as if Bradley's replying to that part. Not sure how they're going to splice it together - maybe they'll extend Jack's shot from the recorded episode so he speaks his complete lines onscreen, then cut to Bradley. The lighting does look a bit colder in the live episode - obviously they couldn't light things the way they would normally - and there might be sound issues too.

Funny about Ronnie in the shop - whoever was behind the till should have had a go at her!

away from the live episode I've noticed a set error in relation to the Max's house, it's a three story house with a cellar and the front door is up a flight of steps, yet on the inside set there is clearly a back door in the kitchen, when the lounge and kitchen are on the first floor. they even did a scene where Phil is looking for Bradley or something and Max says he's in the garden, lets him out the back kitchen door then locks him out.

Not necessarily an error because I live in a similar sort of setup.
To get to my front door you walk up a steepish drive, it's the same length as a Rover car and rises to a height of about six foot over that distance. The back door you come out level with the rest of the house and the garden's level too.
I don't believe the back of Max's house has been seen on screen but I'd argue there's some way back down even if it's just down an alleyway at the side of the house.

I get your point but your house is on a hill, Max's and the others in that row are three story houses with the front door on the first floor so there would be no back door in the kitchen as it's one floor up. my neighbour's houses are a simlar design and the back doors to the gardens are from the basement

anyway we've had more snow so good job Emmerale aren't doing a live episode and good job it didn't snow in Borhamwood on Friday or that would have really messed up their live episode, most of which was shot outside.

wonder what their plan was for really bad weather

noticed something else on the live episode, when we see bradley on the ground from above, just as they roll him over a light comes on

Whoever it was who fell off the roof (I don't watch) - his finger moved slightly when he was on the ground.

He wasn't quite dead I suppose. They didn't actually say he was dead - we just know he doesn't survive as he's leaving the show.

Fair enough - though I'm sure if it hadn't been live they'd have retaken it, as it's the kind of action you'd do if you were pretending to be dead.

Yes I think they probably would have, not least because the light focussed on Bradly on the ground came on late. It was probably those domestic looking flood lights that were screwed on either side of the doorway of the Queen Vic, pointing at the ground where he "landed".

So, the Eastenders Omnibus was just broadcast on BBC Two. The change from the recorded episode to the live one was noticeable but not ridiculously so (see http://bbc.co.uk/i/r4x4f/?t=1h51m42s). The live episode subtitles were redone to match what the actors said on the night (include Scott Maslen's fluffed lines near the start) and are now in different colours to distinguish who was talking (the subtitles on Friday were all in white). Audio description voiced by the same person who did the rest of the episode this week had been added to the live episode too.

The scene with Phil and Marsden when Phil say's she's got her man and she says she's not quite sure seemed out of place, the fact that it suddenly stopped raining and dried up and bradley's flowers dissapeared made me think it was an added scene maybe filmed today to tie in with the live episode.

Wouldn't it have fit whoever the real killer was?

No, there was no new scene added into today's episode. Only the sound was edited at the start of tonight's episode.

I was going to ask about this. Was that definitely the sound from Friday's episode?

I wonder what the preview tape had on it.

Anyone have the ratings for Sunday's omnibus on BBC2 and the AFtermath repeat?
