They look lovely. Better than the last lot

I wouldn't say they were "Channel-4 esque" as they don't really work in the same way, but never the less they're nice, new and the promos sticky tape holds everything together rather well.

I really like these - everyone seems to be swithching to the sticky-tape style (Top gear mag did a few months ago) and I really like it. The music really adds to the spooky effect of them!

my favourite atm is the living room - as I think was said earlier remeinds me very much of the hits

i give them 5/5 from what i have seen Very Happy

Overall I am impressed, and there was me thinking that they were just
going to be launching something for Christmas not a whole rebrand.

Even this isn't actually a rebrand (the channel is still called E4) it looks pretty good so far.

At first I didn't notice the difference until the announcer mentioned it. I think it is much better than the old lot which were completely random. The typewriter typeface is 'in' at the moment but will get old quickly as the last time it was used a lot was in the 70's combined with orangy-brown colours.

Well there were parts were the presentation package was still mixed, a few days ago there was a new esting, old promo, new breakbumper, normal ad and then and old ident. Total mess.

I may as well put this in a thread dedicated to E4. They have completely murdered the 8pm showings of Friends. I tuned in as the first episode was ending, to find a 7 minute break (including promotions). Friends then started with the pre-titles and titles, and we're now in yet another bloody advert break. Does anyone know the legal limit to the amount of adverts allowed to be shown in an hour period?

12 minutes max within an hour - excluding promos.

With a 30-minute programme it's generally a break within the programme and at the end of the programme - though they can put two in if the period from one break to the next is no less than 20 minutes - which is why ABC1 put them in after the titles and just before the closing scenes.

Talking of Friends - notice they're back to season 1 by Christmas - again! They seem to be as obsessed with rotating The War at Home before hand too at 7.30pm, while Scrubs seems to be fixed in the 6pm slot now. Wonder if they've picked up extra rights to earlier season now ABC1 has closed?

Scrubs was all over the place, aired on E4, Channel 4, Sky One, Paramount and ABC1.

ABC1 had the first three seasons (and indeed, made a big deal out of getting Seasons 2 and 3) exclusively, but I'm sure I've seen them appear again on E4 after the demise of ABC1. In fact Scrubs seems to have disappeared from all the channels mentioned above so whether Channel 4 have now secured exclusive rights for E4 is a matter for debate. They're now showing last season's episodes.
