E4's Ruddy Big Rebrand

The new font is ITC American Typewriter.

And the images of the ident with the room shots reminds me a bit of the current The Hits idents.

Yes, I was going to say - they did something similar for Skins. I quite like the sticky-tape trails - it's something different and works quite well.

The idents are a bit strange but I think they do work well and are appropriate for the target audience. I also quite like that sticky tape effect.

from what i've seen, i'm a fan.
the band idents were really good, and i loved the random element to them. but, as people have said, they grew tired and this is a much needed refresh.
fantastic to see the random elements that actually make you laugh, and this sort of ident has no limit to it - anything can theoretically be in an ident, in what will eventually be a very strong set.
as for the idents - not entirely sure, but i bet it'll grow on me.

Like the way they've revamped the menu with the sticky theme continuing - and also used on the ECP too.

Somethings never change though - E4 didn't get the ECP on screen until after Hollyoaks' credits had finished rolling!

Overall I am impressed, and there was me thinking that they were just going to be launching something for Christmas not a whole rebrand.

They do remind me of the hits, and they're a bit weird, I'm not sure whether I prefer the old stings, but it's definately an improvement on the idents.
And I'm glad that they've opted for something so different for the end caps, and like how everything animates onscreen.

Looks good.

I've not seen it on-screen yet though.

Caught a bit of the pres on E4 last night, and the ident I saw looked very nice.

Certainly an improvement on their last set of idents.

E4 Music must be staying around then if they've gone too the effort of new ident - during Celebrity Hijack E4 are playing out the likes of Ugly Betty in the morning before switching to live streaming in the afternoon, which seems strange.

I did think they were some sort of fancy Christmas idents, but I like them a lot. They're full of colour and lots of things happening at once, and very inventive.
