It's a shame they had to make the text scroll, doesn't look right (with the sandwich board beneath it).

Is the footage of Darren recorded or is it live? Whatever, at 09:12, he looks fed up, sitting in his little chair with the castors on it, arms folded!

I've noticed the occasional screen 'glitch' which would be the perfect place to cut together recordings. I can't imagine it being live at all, though it does look incredibly well planned and staged.

The ironic thing is this is far more entertaining/distracting than E4's regular output.

They've had this planned for some time surely, so there was plenty of time to plan little skits, record them and have them all weave into one another through careful editing.

No way it's live - there are no ad breaks, so how is Darren going to eat or use the toilet during the 12 hours?

Not to mention the studio costs, definitely pre-recorded.

It's pre recorded. Those 'gitches' are your bog standard avid plugins at work.

Suspect that's where the points are where the whole stay is stitched together

E4 deserves credit for keeping on-brand throughout.
Nathan, dosxuk and rob gave kudos

I wonder how many students are sitting at home watching this waiting for the Big Bang Theory to come on? Very Happy

E4 right now, has the E4 guy playing Noughts and Crosses on a small blackboard, with someone dressed as a clown. A spoof of the BBC Test Card! Brilliant...

Point of order m'lord. The test card was always the joint property of the BBC, ITV companies, the IBA, and BREMA (British Radio and Electronics Manufacturer's Association). It was not solely a 'BBC' thing.

The latest 16:9 and HD variants are the BBC's though

During the late 60s and early 70, it was shown on ITV for hours and hours, alongside BBC 1 and notably BBC 2.

Just saying Cool
