E4, More4, Film4 and 4Music Rebrand:

They really are! Feels too close for comfort m

The logos look so much better on cake. Get the feeling that might be how they were pitched to them.


Having held out on going corporate for so long it is a real shame they've decided to do it at the time when they have a fairly weak incarnation of the main 4 logo. Yes, it's never really changed but they thinned it out with the last revamp and I preferred it with a bit of fat on it to be honest.

That said I think it works really well on 4Music (possibly as it's the only channel prefixed by the 4), and although it'll take some getting use too the Film4 idents incorporate it well. More4 just looks like one of the laziest revamps I've ever seen, and E4 losing it's own logo seems a big mistake - the idents are fun, but they could be C4 idents in their own right. Presentation looks half decent though, but in reality it is as a DOG or on the EPG you see the logo the most.


If they wanted to link them together more I'd have rather them go down the All4 logo route (I assume that's changed now) of each block representing a channel with the logo on the block. The connection then could have been a bit more abstract.

So who's going to find all 19 new E4 idents

Well I've been monitoring pretty much every junction for E4 so far today and they seem to have only been cycling the same 5 throughout daytime. But now that we're into the peak hours, perhaps more will start to appear.

The All4/corporate logo is unchanged.

So channel 4 have become aware of this at last

Just caught an E4 junction to see it for myself. The trails are just far too ITV2. The whole sliding and snapping thing... If they really did nick the DeviantArt ideas, this could be the most scandalous rebrand we've ever seen!

Not theresponse by E4!

For those who missed it on broadcast late last night, here's the 11.30pm junction where they confirmed poor Eefer was being sent off to a retirement home with his dog. Always remember with these rebrands, there are sometimes victims!

I never noticed before, at 0:20, Eefer has a cock and balls drawn on his back.

Terrible credit squeeze at the end of Hollyoaks on E4. Instead of the “ normal “ portrait credit squeeze, they went landscape.

That aside, I actually like the E4 update.
