Whilst I've generally enjoyed the new presentation for E4, one thing I'm really not a fan of is the new menu style as it seems a bit of a step back. But you can't win em all I guess.
Also as it's E4, you can't miss a few of their fun announcements from across the afternoon...

I can't tell if the Dumb and Dumber GIF is good humoured or just arrogant...
My biggest gripe, really, is I consider the E4 logo to be like MTV's. It's been there from launch, it's been in place for so long, and it hasn't "dated" by any means in my opinion. Granted MTV's logo has been altered, but there are some functional advantages to what they did. The only advantage to E4's new logo is reinforcing its ties to Channel 4 - which, let's be honest, hasn't taught anyone anything they didn't already know.

I just noticed there's a slight change in 4seven's breakbumpers.
The "7" bit of the logo doesn't animate anymore.
Shame they never did anything else except give it a new logo.
I can understand why. The original logo just looks cooler and it's just a simple design. It's just a bubble number 4 with an E inside.
The Channel 4 logo is also cool. But the problem they have now is they've slapped a big E over it..
I'd have liked to have seen the E seperate from the 4 and have the E interact with the 4. You can make the point E4 is a part of the Channel 4 brand but also point out that it is a seperate channel.
Not to mention, as I've only just realised, how abysmal it looks in a small icon like in that tweet. Looks like a purple smudge. Nowhere near as easily identifiable as the original.

So what? Logos like "5 Star" appear as even worse
I think haters gonna hate, you're not going to please everyone
But again, I quite like it. It's something that grows on you
