Just noticed this today... as mentioned a while back, E4 have started showing E4 Music from 6am till 2pm. Must say, it seems very good... good choice of songs, themed hours presented by people such as Vernon Kay and Edith Bowman. In fact, it's almost as if they've read all the criticisms about MTV because it's exactly what MTV should be!
Shame about the dogs...and other c**p all over the place..........the E4+1 dog gets chopped off in 4:3 so just looks like its an e4 dog.....making the viewer non the wiser they are watching the channel 1 hour behind!
Only seen a bit of it, but from what I saw it looked quite good - not just cheap back to back videos!
Presentation quite nice and simple - though the programme title DOG was pointless - too small to read. Talking of DOGs, it's awful on E4+1 where you have E4 MUSIC top left and an opaque white E4+1 top right.
The seem to have a schedule as well, which is listed on Teletext's E4 listings, but most listings mags just say E4 Music!
Much appreciative of E4 Music - been watching / listening all morning. Perhaps when the dregs of Big Bro (old BBLB etc) are finally over it should become a separate entity.
BTW has 705 Freeview just stopped transmitting or is it a blank video screen ala PriceDrop Mux Change circa 12 months ago?
Do you think if C4 win the second Crown Castle channel on Mux C (along with E4) we might see E4 Music evolve into a 24 hour channel?
By the way, we also get a couple of breakfast shows with E4 Music (not seen them, so can't comment).
At 6am it's Morning Glory (which I think is little more than back to back videos) while from 7-9am it's "Wake Up with... (Rick Edwards and Sarah Hendy)".

Nice to see they're respecting the music video director's wishes by cropping all videos to 16:9. I saw the wonderful job they'd done on the new Keiser Chiefs video where everything above the singer's mouth was cut off in several scenes. Good job, shame the other music channels can't do this. We've got the SKY music channels pillarboxing them, and all the others broadcasting in 4:3, presumably the directors are really pissed off that they are allowing the heads of the singers to be shown by those channels.
<sarcasm mode off>
Keep an eye on E4 today as the following has happened on both Saturday and Sunday since the launch of E4 Music. Basically at 2pm as soon as E4 Music finishes and the first E4 ident appears, on both days there has been a E4 Music breakdown caption appear on screen directly into the first programme on E4. It stays on screen for about 2 seconds top and the programme, whether it was Hollyoaks on Saturday or Big Brother Little Brother on Sunday carries on with little fuss.
How about some caps? (I'm with some relatives, they still have analogue cable (I had no idea it was still going!)) E4 doesn't come on air until some time in the afternoon (all I'm getting at the moment is a slide saying: "channel ntl - TV To Talk About".)
....and it's just appeared, programme had already started.

Sorry, I don't have facilities for screen captures but it's the E4 Music breakdown caption that appears at the start of the first E4 programme.
As for analogue cable, I'm on it here in Milton Keynes. NTL took over BT in 1999 and to this day , they refuse to upgrade the service. I no longer have the "entertainment" package which was as many channels they could fit into 30 presets which included 3 movie and 3 sports channels. So just get the main five, ITV is Anglia and Central, together with Sky One, QVC and News 24.
I get E4 together with TV Travel Shop and Price Drop TV via the VHF mode on my tv. One of the reaons for dropping paying out all the money for nothing was the lack of new channels. When I stopped the subscription in 2002, the latest channel on the service was News 24 and that was put on in 1999, two years after the launch!
