There was considerably less competition back then though.
And they wern’t joined by competition until December 1996 when Channel 4 went 24/7. They’d have no ratings at 3am today, especially with the rise of streaming.
It also ran on TruTV for a short time.
I don’t think it’s gaining traction here, and I don’t think it ever will. For one, a lot of their shows are or have been on streaming services for a while before their e4 debut. Second, there are significant cultural differences between us and America. We tend to go to sleep earlier than they do. Late night TV has rarely worked here, even on the PSBs.
