Isn't it strange how you notice these things... C4 were playing trailers mid-break (ie with ads either side) last week which is a new-ish one to me.

I remember the days when you'd only ever see a programme trailer in the break between programmes - never in a commercial break - the clue's in the name!

There is a new break bumper: https://www.tvwhirl.co.uk/play?id=12624 is there more than one?

There were at least 7 of those airing in and out of breaks throughout September on E4. They seemed to be used in primetime only for all breaks to promote the third series of Celebs Go Dating, with the regular batch of E-Stings continuing to be shown most of the time otherwise - and these are also back full time now the series has finished. As I don't think they've been adding to the E-Stings for a while now it may be that programme-related bumpers are going to be mixed in more now for big shows instead.

Having subjected myself to a short amount of the show for the purposes of finding out the names of the 'Celebs' (alas not being a viewer of TOWIE or similar reality shows, I'm sadly not up on who da yoof consider a celeb these days), they appeared to have made all those 'against white' shots of the people for the first few minutes of the programme anyway, so it was presumably quite trivial to add the E4 logo to these. They also used the show's 10pm slot in at least one week to air the E4 equivalent of the advertising premieres they do on the main C4, with the Scottish Tourist Board clearly deciding that they need to target a younger generation now. I'm not generally a fan of sticking site links in the middle of a thread, but a load of this stuff from the past few weeks is up on this page:-

More from E4, and a bit of a change to the usual continuity on the channel this evening. To mark the start of Season 11 of The Big Bang Theory airing in the UK, they've had a bunch of special continuity links recorded by Kunal Nayyar, better known as Raj Koothrappali in the show.

I’m sure he’s done it before when they showed the last series. He was in the UK over the summer and did a Facebook Live thing for E4, I’m guessing he did around this time.

Quite surprised not see a ‘Brand New’ Line under the DOG yet a massive placement for Gameface.

E4 continuity is not noted for taking itself too seriously at the best of times. But they do seem to have been having a bit more fun than usual with most of the links this evening. A bit of a montage from the last few hours...
