I recently emailed Channel Four, regarding the possibilty/rumours of E4 coming to Freeview as freeview. I subsiquently received this reply, please note the date, As ive had to seek further permission to publish this on a public message board. The reply quite surprised me, so see what you think. Any reply is warmly welcomed
....
There are no definite plans to make E4 Freeview at the moment. That does not mean to say it will not happen. It is being looked into and if a way can be found for the channel to support itself through commercial revenue then it may well become a reality. Keep your eye on the press for developments.
Kind regards

Subject: E4 coming to freeview.
To Whom It May Concern,
I am the Media Correspondent with a local newspaper, the Shropshire Advertiser. I write to you with enquires as the current/future of E4. Many internet forums have been very busy with rumours that the channel will arrive on Freeview in Autumn, please could someone confirm or deny these as I plan writing an article on it.
Many Thanks with hopes of a swift reply
Yours Joel Waddingham
