Where as I'm enjoying it. I suppose that's why we have so many channels and so much choice, not everybody will like everything.

The only thing that let it down for me is that fact that somebody else went as soon as they could taking the money.

Surely they should rectify it by using it as a milestone where they can win at least £10,000 or 10% (at that point), whether they win the next round or not rather than it being a risk.

It's one of those slow-burners and if you keep with it it does get quite enjoyable! I was shouting at the tv screen quite a few times and found it much more enjoyable than WWTBAM?

Loads of potential there but move it to a different slot. ITV1 have got some decent programmes at the moment but they all seem to be in the wrong slots!
Echo Beach, Moving Wallpaper, Happy Hour, Thank God You're Here, to name a few!

How about returning Friday to the great long dramas like Midsomer and Morse etc and then make Thursday the new Friday!

Thursday could line-up like:-

20:00 Duel
21:00 Moving Wallpaper
21:30 Echo Beach
22:00 News At Ten
22:30 Al Murray Happy Hour
23:30 Diary of a Call Girl

To retain viewers on 'ITV' at 22:00 ITV2 would premiere the next episode of Moving Wallpaper whilst News At Ten is on ITV1.

I like that idea, though I do think that Al Murray is very weekend, and I'm preferring to watch it on Saturday's on ITV2 after Thank God You're Here. I would put murder mysteries on a Friday, or even move the Bill to a Friday followed by Trial & Retribution.

Apparently Duel are taking methods to stop them quitting after two rounds in their next batch of recordings - presuming they go ahead.

Definitely the worst move of this revamp was moving Dancing on Ice - Saturday nights has fallen apart without it, while the viewers it gets on Sunday nights are not much more than Emmerdale and Corrie used to get - and that audience stuck with ITV1 throughout the night.

Agree with that. I'm sure what pushed them to reschedule was the amount of programmes commissoned. Could you imagine TV Burp, Primeval, Dancing on Ice, Ant & Dec, Duel, Thank God You're Here and Al Murray all on a Saturday night?

Maybe they should have just removed Emmerdale and Corrie from showings in the week, and had Sun, Mon, Wed & Fri as the Emmerdale/Corrie back to back days, and using Tuesday and Thursday for things like Duel & Millionaire. Obviously they'd be hit against Eastenders, but everything scheduled Tues/Thurs at 7:30 would.

For me any one-hour long gameshow format should be placed on an early Sunday evening - such as 630pm to 730pm

Again for me ITV should have kept Dancing on Ice on Saturday evenings whilst Sunday could have looked like.....

515pm Regional News and Weather
545pm News Update; Weather
6pm Dancing On Ice - stupid Promo show
630pm Duel
730pm Harry Hill's TV Burp
8pm Wild at Heart
9pm Kingdom
10pm Comedy
11pm News
1130pm The South Bank Show

No apparently - they HAVE taken methods to stop quitting. This was introduced in the batch recorded at Fountain studios in the last weekend of January (although, bizzarly not on last nights -9th Feb - edition which was the first to be recorded there after the move from Maidstone)

From next week, the £/% 50/50 gamble is gone. Now after the 2nd and 3rd duels the winner has to play a prize money question which is multiple choice and against the accelerator.
They will have 3 chips and the amount of chips placed across the answers determines the money won, if obviously they put a chip on the correct answer. 1 chip £10,000 2 chips £5,000 3 chips £2,500. They then stay seated and take on the next contestant.

So if they get it wrong I assume they go with nothing.

It does help solve the problem I guess, but I think there needs to be an option to play on regardless, so they can play on if they wish, or take the risk of the accelerator question to bank some cash, but risk being eliminated if they get it wrong.

Yes, Brekkie. That happend at the recording I attended.
A contestant (who was one of the three up for selection this week but not chosen) won 2 Duels, and went to the prize money round. He put 3 chips down (and would have won £2,500) but managed not to stick a chip on the correct answer. Had to stay on - Lost the third duel and walked off the set with bugger all.

WWTBAM is straightforward, easy format and has also definitely been helped by cutting out the lower value questions recently

I don't think it has to be honest. I think that first round of five pretty quick fire questions was a key part of the format before moving on to the harder, more drawn out stuff, and I think the shows format is weaker without it.

Also the prize structure is now stupid - at one point you get a question where there is a £30,000 jump, then the next one just a £25,000 jump (though with the guaranteed £50k if wrong.
