Instead of creating my dream scedule, as I like the basic design of itvs, I have revised it, and created my perfect itv schedule.

6am: GMTV
9:25: Trisha
10am: The Wright Stuff
10:45: This Morning
12:30: Lunchtime News
13:00: Today with Des & Mel/Terry & Gaby
14:00: Classic Cheesy old 9:25 type gameshow, supermarket sweep/win lose or draw/chainletters, etc.
14:30: Moving Day (I watch it everday, don't know why)/Good Food Bites
15:00: News; Local news; weather
15:15: CiTV (as I prefer CiTV)
17:15: Richard & Judy
18:00: Local news
18:30: evening news
19:00: Emmerdale (Tues, Wed, Thurs); Tonight with Sir Trev (Mon & Fri)
19:30: Coronation Street (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun); Better Homes style show (Tues), local programming (thurs)
20:00: The Happy Hour (an hour of new comedy, imported comedy, quiz shows, and chat shows, like des o connor tonight would take the whole hour on wednesday, with shows like barbera sharing with new brucies price is right, etc.)
21:00: dramas/documentaries/films.(Usually documentaries Tues & thurs, dramas monday & friday, films wednesday).
22:00: Either for drama extensions, the ends of films, or nigh comedy/shows such as frank skinner show, harry hill's tv burp, tarrent on tv, etc.
23:00: Nightly news (yes it would return! And always start at 23:00:00)
23:30: A nightly entertainment show, think david letterman, jack docherty or live with chris moyles. In the slot that live with chris moyles should have been put at, when people come back from the pub, not before going out, it was really a fantastic entertainment show, the sort of thing missing from the schedules now a days.
00:00: Late programmes including things like Entertainment now, cd:uk hotshots, turn on terry, etc.
01:00: Daytime at Nighttime (the idea being for people that can't catch daytime programmes in the daytime, maybe for jobs or sleep, they can catch them at night.)
01:00: Yesturday Morning (a highlights package of the previous mornings shows)
02:00: Yesturday with Des & Mel (whole show repeated as currently does at night.)/Terry & Gaby
02:45: Trisha
03:15: Afternoon game show.
03:45: Richard & Judy
04:30: nightscreen
05:30: morning news

Which is more or less identical to what 'they' show already, so it's hardly a dream schedule.

My schedule would probably contain back to back Knightmare, interspersed with brand new Tommy Boyd links

05:00 Sky News
06:30 The Big Breakfast (in it's 1998 incarnation)
09:00 Sky News Update
09:15 Jerry Springer (before it got crap)
10:00 The Wright Stuff
11:30 House Doctor
12:00 Sky News Today
12:30 Eastenders Repeat
13:00 Brainteaser
14:00 Afternoony Type Chat Show (but good)
15:00 Sky News Update
15:15 Jukeboxy Request Show For Teens/Students (like MTV Select)
16:30 TRL
17:30 Sky News
18:00 The Simpsons
18:30 Liquid News
19:00 Wanted (why did this ever get scrapped, TV Gold!)
20:00 Britains Worst Driver
20:30 Eastenders
21:00 Most Haunted (probably fake, but gr8 entertainment!)
22:00 Little Britain
22:30 Harry Hills TV Burp
23:00 Sky News Update
23:45 Classic Modern Comedy: Room 101, Ab Fab, French and Saunders, Dinnerladies, Two Pints etc.
01:15 Sky News
01:30 Live All Night Show (Phone in, best of days tv, recorded interviews, music videos, news updates etc, with a good presenter, not some friendly tv type arsehole)

So theres mine, some people will probably think it's awful, but thats my choice. Very Happy

Mine would probably veer heavily to a mixture of serious news, a smidgen of silly news, science documentaries, Look North and include no soaps or drama at all. It would definitely include Discovery Wings' series of programmes about the Red Arrows and pan-continental synchronised broadcast of ABC World News Tonight.

My dream schedule would be:
6.00am-8.30am Breakfast News.
8.30 Changing Rooms. Repeat.
9.00-12.30pm Old Films.
12.30pm-1pm Working Lunch.
1.00-3pm Old Film.
3.00pm Wildlife Documentary.
4.00pm Kilroy.
5.00pm Bargain Hunt.
5.30pm Doctors.
6.00pm Gamesmaster.
6.30pm Knightmare.
7.00-9pm Film filler.
9pm-10.30pm Eastenders, Coronation Street & Emmerdale.
10.30pm Parkinson.
11.30pm-3.00am Films.
3.00-6am Catchup: Repeats of dayime programmes.

I think this kind of schedule offers a wide range of choice for viewers and viewers will beable to see a great prime time movie everynight at 7pm.

Really? Why would that be? They all are successful and get good ratings for the day along with entertaining the people that watch them. If the people that watch like to watch, then people can't comment on that. Can they!

I'm not having a go, each to their own and all, but for me, there'd have to be 'meatier' programming in it.... it just happens to be the perfect antithesis to what my dream schedule would be.....

Perhaps if you actually posted something vaguely intelligent, you risible parasite, those of us capable of proffering genuinely worthy contributions might actually be inclined to do so. If you continue littering the Forum with the sputum that we have thus far seen from you, we will have no choice but to ritualistically sacrifice you in a pit of flame - for the greater good of the Forum, you understand. Actually, you probably don't.
